You can purchace a pack of small screws at your local hardware or home improvement store.I prefer them over the nails.

I only made the rank of Life in Scouting we moved around too much and I ran out of time. My son is nearing his Eagle rank all he has left to do is his Eagle Project. I hope it is complete in the next couple of months. Right now I am Scout Master of Troop 401 Creedmoor NC.

Do you have the gps enabled on the phone? When my son started using his it showed our nearest caches to home were in California and we are nowhere close to there. Check your manual out to find this in the menu. Hopefully this helps you .

I am having the same problem. I login to the main page and when I try to view a cache I have to login again. I haven't changed any of my settings.

I agree with alot of the other posters that I hate steal toe shoes and they I wear out alot of socks in the toe area wearing them. If you have to wear them for work I usually get them a size larger to prevent my toes from rubbing the steal toe area. I would not use them for hiking. Redwings last a good while depending on the style, I have had good luck with some and some have worn out quickly. As some of the other posters have stated there are boots made for hiking , but work boots are not.

Combine caching with a hike if there are trails near you with larger containers to find if not prehide one yourself that is prestocked with lots of goodies for them to enjoy.

Have you ever thought about visiting a nearby scout troop to meet others around your age group and to see if you are interested in activities they participate in. Also you might meet someone near your age that is interested in geocaching.

Our council hasn't received them yet. I have 4 Scouts taking the badge in a week at summer camp.

I use energizer ultimate lithium batteries and they last alot longer. Cutting the back light off and using the light only when needed will help the batteries to last longer also.

I think that would be cool to find a cache with a little something extra added to it.

As a Scout master I would encourage one of the options other than hiding a cache. Starting a Scout related travel bug or creating cito containers to place in area caches are better options for this requirement .

The largest we have found was a tool box approximately 2 1/2' x 4' My son loved it.
