  1. Not happy! In some ways 2009 was a DOWN grade and this is one - less name detail on POIs! Yeah that makes sense, might be the only way; thanks guys.
  2. Hi, I'm using City Navigator Australia 2008 and 2009 across several GPSs. The POIs are different between them. Mainly, the fire stations in my area. In 2008 they are named by Brigade. In 2009 they are just named "fire station." So I can't use 2009 to select "Black Stump Station" and navigate there - it's now called "fire station" the same as all other stations! This is frustrating because it's the in-vehicle NUVIs running 2009, and my handhelds that are running 2008! So, is there a way to export the built-in POIs from City Nav 2008 so that I can load them onto my GPSs running 2009 like any other custom POI? Thanks!! PS still no luck working out how to have proximity POIs time-based so a school zone that is 40kmh speed limit enforced from 1430-1600 doesn't alert you when you're doing 60kmh at 2100! Seems that the GPSs don't have this ability.
  3. Thanks for that. Yeah I understand about USB delivering 5v but I was concerned that the Cx's want 3v, would supplying 5v damage them? It appears that several people are using RAZR chargers with no problem, so I might give it a go...
  4. So if the power adaptor must be 5w or less, this one looks OK? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BLACK-USB-CAR-CHARG...1QQcmdZViewItem on the photo it shows that it's doing 5w out... or should I find a 3w to be sure? Thanks.
  5. I'm looking for a windscreen suction mount and a car charger for an eTrex Venture Cx (identical to Legend Cx). The colour eTrex Cx Models arent the same size as the B&W eTrex, and they use a USB connection for data and power. The Garmin (and Gilson on johnny Appleseed) car chargers are around A$50, will there be a problem with getting a A$5 charger adaptor off ebay and plugging USB into it? eg this one? They look like being 5v, does this suit the eTrex? I have seen the genuine Garmin windscreen suction mounts for A$39 on eBay (I use this with the Map60C at work, no dramas). Des the Etrex mount match the Etrex Cx? I've seen ram mounts etc etc and thats all very nice but having gotten a GPS for A$220 I am loath to spend half that again on simple accessories. Thanks.
  6. Just do a search by zip code for "2000" which brings up the centre of Sydney's CBD. The site will list the nearest caches. Or, enter the postcode/zip code of the suburb you are staying in. Use www.auspost.com.au to look up codes for suburbs.
  7. Hope this makes sense... A mate and I want to place a cache and launch a TB. She and I have our own seperate USer IDs with our own logs etc. To do a "joint cache" etc, can we create a "team" user ID that we are both members of with our current User IDs? Or do we create a new user, being the team, that will be independant of our current logs/IDs? Or do we have to maintain seperate IDs. In which case, which one of us owns the TB and which one places the cache etc...? Help? (crossposted)
