  1. I haven't seen too many false logs...At least not in Physical caches. The only time I audit my logs is if it is there is an issue that has been brought up......About a year after i started someone from 300 miles away logged all the caches in my area in 2 days (bout 250 caches)... Others had complained about no logs and there was no log for this person in my cache either so I did delete his log... But other than that 1 time I have never audited logs...
  2. I have a Tungsten and Cachemate works great
  3. Grats.....I hate Nano's especially when they are somewhere where a larger container would work just as well
  4. 1. Note or no Note 2. Note or no Note 3. DNF Basically if I actually get in the area of ground zero and Start poking in the bushes It is a DNF if I cannot make it to GZ or change my Mind I normally will not log or note anything.
  5. I have had a cache out for awhile (GCKJDH) and it is located on a Small Island in a saltwater marsh. I like the cache and the location but the saltwater is eating up Ammo boxes, I am looking for one of two things, A way to make ammo boxes more rust/saltwater resistant or a different container. (Not Micro) I have tried the different tupperware type containers and they fare far worse than the ammo boxes. I have thought about using a rust-olem primer and a marine hull paint on the ammo boxes but I am not positive this would help. Does anyone have any suggestions, I don't want to archive it but I also don't want to replace it every few months. The ammo boxes stay watertight.. the just get rusted shut
  6. I am not new but today I just made paperless caching a possibility.. I need to know what I need to do I have sent a pocket query to GSAK what is the next step or the next program I need I have a etrex gps with cable and a tungston e2 PDA running palm os... Can someone help me?

  11. I have found some of your logs LOL I have had this happen once, I claimed the smiley and then sent an Email to the owner describing the location and details of the Cache. As a Cache Owner I never cross-check the hardcopy log to the web log unless I have a reason.
  12. I just thought I would let everyone know about a great micro container I have found. If you know someone who is diabetic have them save the container their test strips come in. They make a great airtight and watertight Micro tainer. I have had one on the ground for just over a year now and Have had no Problem with Water or condensation. The container is airtight and all of them have a moisture absorbant built into them that rids the condensation issue. Just thought I would throw that out here
  13. Here In Savannah there are a couple of places that will pay you for Old car batteries. Some of the places that sell used batteries will sometimes do that so they can re-condition them

  21. Most all states have laws against tampering with Fire Hydrants. Being a Firefighter myself I don't see a problem with it as long as it DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE HYDRANT. However a lot of places will prosecute you for tampering with a FH in any way
