supermanfan replied to sept1c_tank's topic in General geocaching topics
I'm A huge Superman Fan and collect Superman Memorabilia. When I joined Geocaching.com I couldn't think of a user name quick enough so........... Supermanfan it was and has stayed. I thought of changing it but after logging in 63 log books I think I should just keep it. -
Couldn't have said it better myself

If you are putting Golf balls in a cache it better be a sleeve of 3 new ones.

If I come across a cache that has broken or useless swag in it I leave it. I don't feel it is my place to remove it. If I don't want to trade an Item I always leave something and take nothing. If the cache is filled with water or the contents just wet. I empty the cache out and try to dry the contents and container best I could (I bring a towel with me for this) If there are paper sawg in it, I lay the items in the sun for as long as I can to dry them out. If they are beyond repair I do take them out and let the owner know in my log. I always carry extra baggies with me incase I have to replace one here and there also.

I had borrowed a Friends GPS to go moose hunting. He was showing me how to use it and explained Geocaching to me. He suggested I try to find a few caches to get used to using the GPS before I take it into the bush. Well 61 finds and 2 hidden, I'm hooked. Everywhere I go, I look for a new place to hide a cache. My wife loves it too and comes with me to almost every find. She keeps a binder of all the printouts of every cache we did and adds her own little comment of our trip to each one. (like a journal) Anyone else have a story of how they got into the sport?? Anyone??? Team Supermanfan

I personaly prefer larger caches, But I feel Micros have a place. I had no interest in finding a micro till one day I had no time to run out in the middle of nowhere to hunt for a cache. We went looking for this micro and when I found it I thought it was great. The way the container was made and where it was hidden. I think Micros are a great way for people with no means of transportation to get out and find a few caches around thier city or town. I have been caching for just under a year and have found 58 caches so far, 99% of them being regular to large cache containers. I have hidden two caches of my own, One out in the middle of nowwhere with a good size cache and one in a park in the city that is a micro cache. I also believe if a good size container will fit, Don't place a micro.
