  1. Just requested 5 for my "Canary Dwarfs" alter ego. Apologies if I'm a little late! Cheers Richard
  2. Well I for one was routing for Manchester when they were bidding. We are all part of a great nation. Remember "divide and conquer". We don't want that happening to us now do we Great idea about venue event caches. I am going to put that to my colleague to see if we can sort something out soon.
  3. Excellent excellet... But I've just put the TB out there! Erm... I may see if it's moved yet and grab it quick and replace. Oooh, you lot are like buses. Nothing for ages, then two at once! Cheers Richard
  4. Thanks guys. This is great stuff to put on the DVD.
  5. Right you lot, get back on topic! I keep getting notifications that a new reply has been added, only to find you rabble sledging each other! MOVIES PLEASE !
  6. Is that a joke? If so, then can I tell an equally hilarious one? A guy walks in to a pub and notices that there are two pieces of meat stuck on the ceiling. So he asks the barman what's going on: "Ah, well, it's a competition you see." he says, "You put a pound in this jar, and if you can reach the meat, you win the money in the jar and the meat... Fancy a go?" The man thinks about it for a while and then replies: "No thanks, the steaks are too high." Hurrah!
  7. Hey, that's great, thanks... Anybody else got any videos?
  8. I didn't know that! I shall have to check my member privileges, as I haven't seen the link! Thanks for the tip.
  9. I was thinking that a great optional field to have in the "New Geocache" form would be an "Approach Bearing". That way, people could avoid the dreaded brick wall or fence when they've started at the wrong place. But more importantly, wouldn't it be nice to have a "Geocaching Web Site Discussion" forum. We could post our suggestions, bugs, typos etc. Surely everyone would be a winner right? Thoughts please!
  10. Funny, but not getting enough links Come on guys, I will have to start filming my own if I'm not careful!
  11. How about you visit the most visited cache in England (at least it was last time I checked!), St Etheldreda's ?
  12. A link? Um... it's at the top of this thread. Posted by you. Cheers, Stu Ah, Oh I am very sorry and getting myself quite confused! Too early!
  13. Thanks Stu, I would always ask permission first (hence this thread). I do work in the media arena, so I'm fully aware of how people can get funny about the littlest things! Could you send me the link to your movie please. I may have missed the link somewhere. Thanks Richard
  14. Does no-one else have a video for me? You could be famous you know!
  15. Does nobody (apart from Paul ) have any mpegs they'd like me to add? I've found some 20 minute beginners video, but I thought that might be a bit like teaching my Granny how to use a walking stick! Cheers all Richard
  16. Thanks, of course that will be included! Anyone else?
  17. Thanks. I'll be using that one. Surely you guys must have some more?
  18. IMHO Geocaching is not a sport. For me, sport requires that there be a winner. And I don't Geocache to win. I go jogging, but that's not sport is it? That's exercise! Sport-hobby. Yep, let's get that in the dictionary so we can all be happy! Cheers Richard
  19. Hi there, I am looking to put together a DVD with MPEGs of Geocaching related stuff. Your first cache movie, most extreme cache, that sort of thing. Ideally not more than a couple of minutes. I plan to put collect them and put them in Caches (perhaps one or two travel bugs as well I think to keep them moving). All just for fun! So please, pass any links to MPEGs/WMVs etc and your movie may become world famous! Thanks Richard PS Sorry, English speaking movies only
  20. Thanks Paul, I guess I'll have to wait! Any more for any more? Links to anything would be useful!
  21. Thanks Paul, I know you're good at the movies so i'll grab what I can! The "countryfile.mpg" link doesn't work though, and I'd really love that! Thanks Richard
  22. Hi guys, I am looking to create a DVD with members movies and was hoping people could post links to MPEGs/WMV's etc of theirs or others Geocaching exploits. I've just started with Stu's "Red Rag to a Bull"! I'll collect them all together and start putting them in Geocaches for others to enjoy. Good idea or not? Can't do any harm can it?! Cheers Richard
  23. I wish I had nearly 1000 caches and could pick and choose John! If one gets put near me I'm there faster than a rat up a drainpipe!
