  1. OK, here are the first 4 caches in the series:

    J's Broken Foot Series

FTF has already been claimed on all of them. Sorry bout that, J&K.

We don't work too hard on FTF's so it was fine by us that several people beat us out to the new caches. We had a great evening walk - Jerry got to ride in the wheelchair and sign the logbooks. He even retrieved the first cache. It was such a nice evening and we were glad that 2qwerqE joined us. You know, it never hurts to take the cache owner with you to insure a smiley!! Besides, Teresa was showing us all her animals that she has gotten to know along this trail. We enjoyed the muskrats and ducks but were sorry that the green heron didn't show up tonight. This is a great trail and we were glad to know it is here. Looking forward to the rest of it being completed. We look forward to finding more 1 terrain caches over the next 6 weeks!!

  2. OK - this is K of Team J&K. Now that Jerry is hassling Teresa, she will probably make us give our copy back. I am so glad to see this getting the credit it deserves. We enjoyed ours so much. We have cached with Teresa and so been with her when she has shot some of these pics. She cannot pass up a mushroom and has such a good eye for seeing what we would otherwise have never noticed. Yet, when she goes to shoot a pic, she is so quick about it. She knows just what she wants and knows how to make her camera give it to her. Yes, her photo editor might be great but it has to have a quality picture to begin with and Teresa gives it quality. Thanks, Teresa, for giving us all the pleasure of the DVD. And while we are at it, her book was very good...Jerry didn't get dinner the day I was reading it because I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Oh boy - you will get a big head!!

  3. OK T, you have taken way TOOOOO much credit for MY picture and the likeness of Team J&K. I don't remember signing a release form for you to send out any of these copyrighted items. My lawyer (Evil Kneevel) will be in touch with you as soon as he gets out of the hospital and completes my roofing job. We are in Lewiston, Idaho at this time, so you cannot reach me with you hiking stick, Ha Ha Ha.

The DVD is really a professional job. I am honored to have one.

Great job T, I am glad others feel the same way.

  4. There are several good caches downtown, most are micros or virtuals. Try Anne's Triple play, 92 Counties, Time of a different kind, Prominade, Medal of Honor, Big Bridge. The canal area is a safe and clean area and most of these caches are near there.

  5. OK - its time for the female half of this team to admit that she has no idea how to use this forum in combination with Webtv. It looked as if it was only giving me a preview when obviously I was posting and reposting and reposting - well, you get the picture. Anyway, I will try to get someone to delete the others and we'll just use this one. Thank goodness I find caches better than I do this forum or the male half would leave me at home!!

  6. We will be travelling to the Rapid City/Black Hills/Badlands area in August. We find that geocaching helps us find areas that we would otherwise miss. We are hoping some of the local cachers can suggest some good caches in the area or some areas that are great to visit if only we knew they existed (even if there isn't a cache there yet!!). Unfortunately, we will not have a 4X4 this trip. It is obvious that caching is popular there by the number of caches we pulled up on the search and we are looking forward to visiting quite a few for the week or so that we will be in the area. Thanks to all of you for hiding so many caches and giving us so many options.

  10. I believe the Monon #1 & 2 are the only ones near the trail. You coud search on the Zip code for Carmel. There are a bunch in the city but usually only one or maybe two per park. Inlow park has a nice one, as well as Central Park, Cool Creek Park & Meadowlark Park. Downtown Indy has a concentrated number around the canal and zoo. Hope this helps.

  13. There are 7 good caches near the convention center. Search on our 92 Counties cache (3 blocks from the CC) and then closest and you will find the balance. All of these are within a mile of downtown and most are near the canal (a really neat place to walk or ride you bike).

Hope you have a good time in Naptown.

  14. We went out this evening and found the two travel bugs that had been left. They were very well hidden - enough so that we missed them the first time we looked around that tree. The hole was so small, I'm surprised Lumi fit in it. Jerry did a good job of finding them. We have logged the travel bugs as in our possession and will move them on in the next week or so. Tell the kids that Lumi is safe and warm.

  15. ID - I have to admit that I don't spend any time in this discussion area but I did look this up when you said you had no replies to getting together. Maybe there are others in Indy who are like me and don't know what is going on in other states/areas to realize that we need to work with the DNR to continue being able to geocache. J & I most enjoy the caches in the parks, nature perserves, and along the trails. We sure don't want to lose those. What are the issues with the government with geocaching in other states? Maybe if people were better informed as to what was going on elsewhere, they'd be more inclined to want to get involved.

  16. We have just spent the week in Memphis and I wanted to thank all the West Tenn. cachers for leading us to several great spots with their caches.

  17. Things seem to be slow in the Indy area. Even with the long weekend there really wasn't much activity. We had more "finds" in Feb & March than April & May. Our rains might have slowed some of the cachers down a bit. We are seeing more caches put out in the last few months, a very good sign.

  18. "Kids Cache" is near a dirt path in Park.

"Walk Of Honor" is a great virtual cache

Our "Walk On Broadlick" is a virtual but paved all the way.

    Happy Geocaching
