  1. Agree that the font is too large & all the programming text at the bottom of the page definitely shouldn't be there. Really miss the Identify feature on the Google Map page where a concise list would print below the map!
  2. Ditto to all of the above. We relied on this function to print area maps and listings - now it is only useful online & we have never brought our computer out with us in the woods. Please change it back or at least maintain the old functionality. This is really bad timing for us because we were gearing up for a tournament this weekend & now we can't get the info that we need.
  3. Just noticed the same problem! Logged a couple of caches and moved our coin, but didn't get the normal emails alerting us of the log or the coin movement!
  4. The Squirrels are fine - We just wish the website was up!
  5. Sent email with requested information for one Antique Gold. Thanks, BlkSqrl413 & MrsBlkSqrl
  6. Just wanted to make sure that you know that we would like a set! Thanks, BlkSqrl413 & MrsBlkSqrl of Massachusetts
  7. This morning, we opened our email & did not have any from geocaching.com, which is highly unusual. Came to the forums & found this thread. Murphy's Law, we ditched AOL & started using Verizon with MSN as our email & now it appears that Verizon is doing exactly what AOL did. We have filled out the whitelist form & hope that our emails start up again. This is really frustrating. We can't believe that these ISPs can just shut off user requested emails.
  8. Just in case you didn't figure it out from our earlier posts, we'd like a set too! Please count us in! Thanks
  9. Instead of Twelve Drummers Drumming like in the original, How about Twelve Satellites Humming!
  10. It would be interesting to know, who if anyone has found multiple caches in the series already! Once all 50 plus the final are hidden, we'll have to have some sort of forum for tracking the leaders! Just a thought! This is exciting! Hope the last 17 get there's up & running soon. Our Massachusetts cache has already had visitors from other states and we bet so have many others!
  11. Thanks, we'll be looking forward to receiving them!
  12. Yikes, the system is acting squirrelly---it just logged our post twice after giving us a fatal kernel error on the first, so I'm editing this second one to avoid being redundant! But sticking to the topic, we're not receiving log emails either anymore!
  13. It is happening to us too! It seems like we stopped getting emails from our watchlist last night from geocaching.com as well as our notifications! They can't say it's AOL's fault this time because we switched our email address to another provider in order to avoid this problem! There definitely must be changes occuring to the website because when we went to send some required information to an owner last night for a cache find, we were required to entered a code much like when ordering sport tickets on line. Would love to hear what's up?
  14. Very nice but I am curious how come we are showing two caches in Nevada? There should not be the one in the Reno area that is on the map. Alright Frappr may not be the way to go for this, As mentioned in my previous posts I was having problems with the locations. I thought I had the problem resolve and even had someone else working on it. The problem is I am placing the locations by coordinates that are given to my by Google Earth. When saving the coordinates you have to give it a location so I have been just naming it by the state the cache is in, it does not like that ( I guess that there is a reason the ampping is in Beta?). Specifically Nevada, it kept moving to Carson City when it was saved, I know this wasn't correct, and I am not confident that the location now is correct. I think what it wants for location is the exact city, however this will not work for some of the caches. As of right now until the bugs are worked out I would not recommend using this map for any kind of referance. i will continue to work on it and will send emails to there tech to see if it can get worked out. I will however keep it for me and will share when it is correct. As a side note since I know where the Utah cache is, when I woke up to check the map ( had someone else working on it), appears as if all locations have shifted . The Massachusetts cache is located in the western part of the state, but the current map is showing it some 90 miles east near Boston. shich is consistent with the errors discussed for other states. At it's current location, the Massachusetts label is mostly covered by the Rhode Island label, but the two caches are not near each other. Since the New England states are smaller than many others, you will probably have the overlap problem with the size of the labels - so even when the MA cache is moved to its correct location in the west closer to New York, south of Vermont, & north of Connecticut, there is still the chance that there will be overlapping.
  15. Just wanted to let you know that your map is missing the Massachusetts cache, which was one of the top ten hidden & published.
  16. Hoorray! We just got an email on AOL alerting us that a cache on our watchlist has been found! It was sent at 1801 today and we got it at 1925. Hope it keeps up Whatever Jeremy said to AOL must have helped Thanks again
  17. Spam wasn't sent out via Geocaching.com's servers. AOL occasionally throttles our email. Yes, we've contacted him but it never turns out to be as easy as a phone call. Never fear, your emails are nice and toasty in the queue waiting to be delivered to your AOL in-box. It never ceases to amaze me how AOL causes a problem but relies on us to contact them instead of trusting their own users to resolve the issue. Thank you for making contact with AOL. Will keep you posted if the mail comes through. We finally did get a forum email, so I guess that's some progress.
  18. Nope. It's AOL. Is your response based on contact you made with AOL? If yes, then thank you for contacting them -- we hope that they are working to fix the problem now that you, the internet site, identified it to them. If not, then do you have any suggestions on what AOL/Netscape users can do, if AOL only wants contact from you, the internet site. Thanks
  19. We agree! Only 18 states have completed their caches for the first project, so why start a new one? Why not try finding the ones closest to you - Kansas & Missouri. We wish the ones near us would get published.
  20. We agree, but maybe the problem wasn't AOL this time & it had something to do with the software upgrade & extended downtime from last week. That's when the problems all started, so maybe Groundspeak could just check it out with AOL as show of good faith for the many geocachers that use AOL or Netscape.
  21. Here's the latest email that we have received from AOL: We wrote: We are still not getting our emails from www.geocaching.com . Other users on the forums on the site are advising not to use AOL email, but I have used it for years and like using it. Why can't AOL work this out with the folks at Groundspeak. AOL responded: Thank you for the feedback. AOL may have received large amounts of junk e-mail from someone using this domain name. Please ask the sender of the e-mail to ask their system administrator or Internet Service Provider to call the AOL® Postmaster Hotline at 1-888-212-5537. Reported problems are often fixed within minutes, but may go unfixed for days or weeks because they are not reported. The Postmaster Team, which is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, can work with the ISP to quickly resolve the issue. Additional information is available at the AOL Postmaster Web Site: http://postmaster.info.aol.com/
  22. I am certain that it is not any controls that I set in my SPAM folder. I checked there right away. AOL keeps responding that Groundspeak needs to contact this website, http://postmaster.info.aol.com/ , to rectify the problem. It would be nice to know if an attempt was made to do this?
