1. We have a tradition for Christmas-calendar caches in our little corner of the world. This is our local calendar for 2013, and here are some of the other calendars around the country (unfortunately none in english, but I guess you'll get the general idea) Some of the participating CO's even serve hot cocoa and cookies near gz of their cache shortly after publication; making it a great excuse to get out, do some geocaching and meet fellow geocachers throughout December.
2. You can find some fairly good numbers and statistics here: Top caches in one day
3. This ^ is the easiest way of doing it. I get 50+ "found it" logs a day on average, but have made a set of rules in my e-mail program that sort all owner notifications neatly into spesific folders. Depending on your e-mail provider you can also set up rules for what folders to download from (or how often)to your computer.
4. I'm not quite sure if this is what you are looking for, but as i understand it you want to put the url for the artwork "out in the open" on the cachepage. (loved the artwork btw!) If I've misunderstood what you're looking for I'll just blame it on my poor english Maybe something like this might work:
To get a copy of this image on your profile, cut and paste this url onto your profile:
http://img.geocaching.com/cache/0b7195d2-3094-4ecd-8156-208d72426e54.jpg
Rember to put img src= in front of the url, and brackets < > before and after
Looks like the url gets shortened when i post here, you will off course have to put the full url on the cachepage Edit: dakboy's way of doing it is way easier :-)
5. Met this little fellow while out placing a cache today. It's a common European viper (Vipera berus).
6. A minor series of 18 caches inspired by the constellation Orion (there is a short description in english on each of them, try google translate for the rest :-) : http://coord.info/GC2KT2M
