YvetteM88: As much as my brother Cumbyrocks offers some great advice in that post, I'm the iPhone user of the two of us - and you can't go past the full Geocaching app by Groundspeak. It is a little pricey but quite frankly it's also the easiest geo-app to use. I don't bother with anything else these days (despite the fact I own a proper handheld GPSr).
As for its accuracy: Some days the iPhone beats my Garmin Oregon hands down, especially under heabvy tree cover.

Sobald wir es zurück zu den letzten in Dorset, ist jedes Teammitglied Anspruch auf eine auf den Cache zu finden (und zu einem meiner Es geht nicht um die Zahlen geocoins) beträgt.

My team Four Corners is trying to complete British multi GCRBP2 The Magnificent Journey. This requires visiting nine locations - the third of which is somewhere in Leipzig.
Once we've made it back to the final in Dorset, every team member is eligible to claim a find on the cache (and get one of my It's Not About The Numbers geocoins).

Greek geocacher R10n made a rotary telephone puzzle cache recently; which was featured on geo-blog It's Not About The Numbers. I know it doesn't use a mobile phone but it might give you some ideas, CacheJunkies.
Alternatively, could you programme your pre-paid mobile to just dial one number? At the other end, you could have a recorded message giving the co-ordinates or puzzle hint.
On the same lines, you could record that message on a prepaid SIM and let the cachers call it from their own cellphones.
I've also heard of a puzzle cache in a public phone booth. You enter the booth, lift the handset and if you've dialled the correct number, the cache then drops down from the bottom of the payphone housing.
Andronicus: What about a plastic SD/SDHC/XD memory card case? Tested it against my phone's battery and it's just a fraction smaller on all sides. Saw one of these used as a nano cache in my hometown a while back.

Apty: OCB stands for the Original Can of Beans, the first trade item - and only remaining relic - from the Original Stash cache hidden by Dave Ulmer, the father of geocaching, in May 2000. It was later unearthed by cacher Team 360, who now tours the world with this legendary artefact.

Quick query: Is there any interest in an event cache at Otaki Maori Racing Club on February 28th?
There's a race meeting on that day so it should be a good family day out. Club organisers are happy for us to use the facility for such an event.
If there's enough iresponse, I'll list it and begin working out cache hiding places.

Seeking a card-carrying Nelson member who can help me out ...
Newish American movie Find Me is running a promotional Jr Woodchuck Card Cache contest, whereby it sends out special plastic cards worldwide for fans to find.
Only two are hidden in New Zealand, both in Nelson.
Card No 1 is at S 41° 15.9520 E 173° 16.8080
Appears to be on the waterfront between Queen Elizabeth II Drive (SH6) and Akersten St
Card No 2 is at S 41° 15.8390 E 173° 8.3360
In an area of forest/trees nearing the coastline, midway along the ocean side of Rabbit Island
Would somebody be able to check out one or both of these locations for me to see if the card/s are still there? If yes, I'd pay to have one mailed to Wellington so I can further its travels.
