  1. Now I really HATE to admit this, but I recently found a TB I picked up and forgot about. I just put it in a nearby cache and when I went to log it in, I realized that the owner replaced it and it had still been traveling. What do I do now? It doesn't give me the option of showing that I put it in a cache again. I emailed the owner to let her know and hoped maybe there was a way of having the two bugs compete.
  2. Haven't been to the forums for quite a while now, but cruising through I am so bummed I missed the Whaler's Island group cache! We've tried for the past two years to get this one, but the tide got us both times, even when we checked the tides the second time out! I'll have to check in here more often. If anyone ever finds themselves down this way in the "Poc" as we often call Lompoc, you'll have to check out my latest cache Llamaland. It's a fun easy hike in a little known land.
  3. I really like to play with beads, so we have left pony bead lanyards in the shape of lizards and such. Or you can make bracelets, but it can be unique and relatively inexpensive as well. Also we like to leave WheresGeorge.com dollar bills, because Geocachers tend to be adventurous people open to interesting new treasure hunts.
  4. I heard that news report and started laughing, thinking to myself, I bet you that's a geocache!! Hello, here is my first post to the forum. I would so love to come to the orienteering day so I could finally become an official member of the POC, but we will be in Vegas for a softball tournament I will wait for the next event and hope that I can make it then. Until then, I just planted 3 caches today which are awaiting approval, so come have some fun up in the "poc" as we like to call Lompoc occasionally!
  5. I am also fairly new and trying to figure out the GSAK thing. I've downloaded files to it, but I can't get it to show what type of cache it is (Micro, Regular, Small..) It is automatically downloading it as a loc file rather than a gpx file, but I don't see where to change that setting. If anyone has a good answer I'd love to try it.
