  1. Tsun, I have over 2500 coins and I don't think I have one of yours!!! How didn't I do that??? Anyhow, I'm one of those "anal" people who keep their coins in flips stored in boxes...I keep every little paper that comes with the coin explaining any symbolism, or why a particuliar design element is on a coin...I have my paper for the Around the World in 80 Caches Race...I have my "Thank You" card from NNJC...I think you get the picture...lol...on the other hand, all the cute little bags are in my swag box...I sometimes use them for secret missions...the crux is...I love explanations...hate excess baggage...unless it's from a trader, and has specific meaning...duh...getting a bit verbose...I'll quit now...

  3. Jaime, I am so sorry for your loss...please take comfort in knowing that Sedona has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is happy and healthy again, playing with her many old and new found friends...my Alex and Rebel, among them...she has probably already started a geodog society of her own...and is waiting the day you will be together again! Patch and I send our love and hugs...remember, Patch still has his big,old black head on your knee, and, now a paw there too...

  11. Here's a good one from one of our archived caches...it's true...it really happened...lol October 15, 2005 by ALOFT23 (4522 found) The time is now 9:40 P.M. The co-ordinates are right on the money. As you can tell by this log, it is nearly halloween and it is definately dark. There is a third part to this scene - the location. I was getting ready to sign the log when I heard this weird sound coming from up the street. Whatever it was, it was getting closer. Shortly I could see sparks coming from the pavement. It was a horse and rider. Never knew that horseshoes give off sparks when trotting on asphalt. The good news is that the rider did have a head and not a pumpkin nor was he dressed as death. The cache itself is again well done. I retrieved the log, but failed to see the keyrings until I replaced the log. So I left a Louisiana keyring TN. SL. and got out of there. TFTC.
  12. Our Trio arrived safely in Texas, and as others have said, the pictures do not do them justice! Congrats to the designer, and to Landsharkz for another outstanding production. Will you post a note to this thread letting us know when the Dream voyage will take place...I would really like to know how it goes... Merci, Merci!
  13. Patch greeting krycek008 at the cache site... This is Patch, our retired-from-summer-geocaching, 112 lb Black Lab...Patch still rides out to geocaching sites with us in the fall and winter, but can't take the hot Texas summer...he has gotten heat stoke twice when the temperature reached 85+ degrees...you know you love your dog when you spend hours putting ice packs in his armpits and groin!...he's also a senior citizendog, being 8 years old with arthritis...BUT...he is the official guardian of our cache site "To All the Cats We've Loved Before (GCQ680)...and he takes that job very seriously...we have rewarded that dedication by giving him his own travel bug (TB1NGTW), a GeoDog Geocoin he wears on his collar. Patch is a shelter rescue and wants me to remind everyone; if you are thinking of a new pet... MAKE SHELTER ADOPTION YOUR FIRST OPTION, PLEASE! Sorry the picture is so small, I don't know how to make it bigger...duh
