[New Garmin Oregon 600 Series]

Hmmm....I've only used a 450 during my time caching and I'm wondering if I should just buy another one or two as backups for down the road? Its durable and I've been able to work around what "bugs" it does have. I know its too early to judge on the new Garmin series but it seems like there are more negatives than positives from those that have it. The etched screen above is troubling and disappointing from a supposed improved model.

 

Very good judgment I have the 600 and do not recommend anyone ... very poor accuracy.-- NOT BUY THIS 600 SERIES !!!!!

You can buy the material in bulk much, much cheaper than through Zagg if you do not mind making your own.

 

Can you tell us where? Are you sure it's the same material ZAGG uses?

 

www.xtremeguard.com is very, very similar to ZAGG and cheaper !!!!.

Tested in Garmin Oregon 450.

You can see the temperature on the screen, but the temperature is not registered in the gpx file

(bug that I reported to Garmin). Firmware version 6.0
