ok so just because winter is coming doesnt mean cacheing is over !!! but is cacheing really worth going if there is alot of snow? because i live in northern illinois next to lake michigan and the lake causes us to get ALOT of snow. but i dont want to stop cacheing it is alot alot alot of fun?

man that just made my morning lol .. and i appologize if it seems like i have an attitude in this forum. but i do get really pissed off when people give false information on a subject that you can tell they know nothing about. such as the person who says dnr cant go on your property!

trailgators is right !!! dnr is not a police officer but they have all the rights of police officers. and more they can also search your car and do not need a dog to hit on anything and yes all hunters know they can take your vehicle and all of your equiptment. for that reason that is why hunters WHO ARE SMART keep up on the laws and regulations so we always know what we can and cant do for example.. when i go hunting i have to make sure not a single shell i bring with or even have in my car has lead shot in it or ill get a HUGE FINE and my gun cannot be within arms reach of me when in my car it also has to be seperated from the ammunation and the gun must be in a gun case.

im not sure where your from but dnr needs no permission what so ever to come onto property! police officers do need permission but conservation police or "dnr" do not need permission what so ever. how else would they check people for hunting licenses and foid cards? stand on the property line calling for any hunters to come out? hahahahahaah sorry to burst your bubble but yes they can just walk on to your private property or they wouldnt be able to do there job

if i ever see people on my private property where i hunt waterfowl i wouldnt take a single shot that isnt the smartest idea especially because i use a 12 guage 3 1/2 inch bb shells which would definetly do some damage i just go up to them and ask them to leave .... to the guy who wrote above this one good luck with your idea seeing that dnr will probably be the tresspasser and you will lose your vehicle and all of your hunting equiptment

and i would like to add that i hunt waterfowl, coyote, and dove sometimes more than that but i do not eat the coyote i just kill them because they are a neusence and i do eat the dove and waterfowl. and for those of you saying us hunters are killing innocent animals and that we are drinking and hunting ect. yes we are killing innocent animals BUT THERE DELICIOUS and almost no hunters drink when they hunt unless there idiots because if your a hunter you know that DNR is always close by and for those who dont know DNR is the department of natural resources (the people who ticket and arrest hunters for doing illegal things) but back to my point if your against animal hunting dont go complaining in this form about how we are bad YOUR NOT GOING TO CHANGE ONE OF US TO NOT WANT TO HUNT ANYMORE. BY THE WAY WEAR A FLARE ORANGE HAT OR SHIRT OR SOMETHING TO DRASTICALLY REDUCE YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING SHOT. AND IF YOU KNOW YOUR GOING IN A HUNTING ZONE MAKE SURE YOU WEAR FLARE ORANGE OR YELLOW OR GREEN MOST BRIGHT NEON COLORS WILL WORK BUT FLARE ORANGE IS THE BEST

ok first of all if he is hunting deer and using a crossbow he cant really miss... and im not sure what state this is in but in most states your not even allowed to hunt with a crossbow unless you are handicapped for example in illinois were i live you cant hunt with a crossbow unless your handicapped. and i also hunt if i were hunting and saw some people searching for something i would be wondering what they were searching for and probably help. that guy had no reason to be swearing... hunting is supposed to be fun i can go hunting and not shoot once and have a blast . the people who go hunting and start freaking out like that should not be allowed to hunt because i would have gotten really nervous if some guy with a cross bow was swearing about me. BUT WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE WAS WHENT AROUND THE EDGES OF THIS CEMETARY AND TINKLED BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE BLOWN ANY CHANCE THE GUY WOULD HAVE AT GETTING A DEER FOR 2 DAYS AND HE WOULD HAVE TO MOVE SPOTS.

thanks ive made ten of them now because this morning i went out hunting and shot 3 times but only got one goose haha but i think im only going to leave them in reallt hard caches or unless i want something thats cool from one

ok so its official im going to leave a goose shell carving thhing because there cool and you can tell when the primer is used up if you look at the bottom where the pin strikes the shell if there is a dot it is used. ya i guess its reloadable but who just reloads the primer and im not talking about shells that have been in the mud the shells i would leave are brand new and just shot like the day before. and im not sure why you think they smell ? ya if you take your nose and put it right up to the shell it smells like used gun powder but that smells good

so hopefully the people who thought i shouldnt now will think its better

some shells are worth more than others for example my 3 1/2 inch BB shells are worth more then lead shot trap shells and if i opened a cache and saw a bullet casing that is what i would take but it all depends on the person

Why would an expended shotgun shell be worth more than a cheap toy? I think it would make an interesting signature item, if you can customize it somehow. Just leaving the shells alone, it'll probably be perceived as trash. Look at it another way. Let's say I drink a lot of beer. If I leave empty beer cans in geocaches, nobody is likely to appreciate it very much. However, if I leave something like this instead: I'm sure it'll be received pretty enthusiastically. omg your a genius GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!! there need to be more people like you on here

the only reason i wanted to leave a shot gun shell is because i hunt waterfowl and it would be just something cool to leave because its like leaving my signature item but i dont know and all the caches i find have cheap little toys in them the shell is probably worth more then them but it was just a thought i had and i dont want to put anyone in a scary situation

ya i thought about that but the ammo containers that are caches are aloud so??? i just dont know

i was just wondering if i can leave empty shot gun shells in caches that i go to that have items in them??? and by empty shot gun shells i mean they have already been used and they are no longer dangerous.

my cache is exactly where the cordinates are its just i like to hide them in a place where after you find it your thinking to yourself oh ok i get it now. and for all of those saying how bad of an idea it is! dont worry its just that an idea i had that i wanted to know what other people thought not to get critasized (im pretty sure i spelled wrong) for having an idea and wanting to know what people thought so for those of you who gave me an honest opinion on how it wouldnt work thank you for those of you who toss my idea down and tell me all my flaws thank you to.............

ok so im guessing you all misunderstood me or i said something wrong . what i meant to say is that i would like to know how many people are looking for my cache and how many people have put it on there gps but all i really want to know is the number of people who have tried to find it. i do not want to know information about the person or even there name i just want a number. because not everyone reports a did not find after attempting to search for a cache.

well it was just an idea when i hide mine i try to make it very very hard to find because its cool to know that some one else used there brain and skills to find it
