  1. I can't tell if you'd planned any enamels here, but as for finishes, this design looks ready made for a two-tone approach (without enamel), either by different finishes for the parts, or even different finishes on a single part. Some examples of what I mean: Base/Top: Gold Middle Disk: Chrome or: Use a chrome for all of it, except the recessed areas on the front of the piece shown in the first row of the blueprint. In those recessed areas, use a gold or even possibly a copper to set it off. The other option here (and this would require counting that I haven't done) would be to alternate metal finishes on the fins of the center disk, if that is possible for the mint.
  2. LL I hope All Is Well . What a cool idea for a cache!!!!!!! if you are able to get a coin for this cache, maybe a layer of epoxy or even that clear resin could seal that coin to the lid. That may stop a thief. Glad there's a watchful eye, too.!!! Oh and YAY for the remints!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!! Since this is an ammocan cache, if the cache owner is willing, you may be able to work out a way to do something similar to what has been done with "Mission 9: Tunnel of Light" (The APE cache) for the two coins permenantly attached to it's lid. Those coins were drilled and riveted to a hinge, which was then rivetted to the lid, to keep both sides of the coins viewable.
  3. You should now be able to find it here: http://www.geocaching.com/track/ActivationCodeRetrieve.aspx If it's not there, it will redirect you to the appropriate location.
  4. Well, in the case of mine, they *have* moved quite a bit, but not been dropped yet, since the "visited" logs aren't generating emails and getting included in the updated standings. Some spot checks show a few others in similar situations.
  5. The activation codes for the cats should be retrievable from http://www.geocoinclub.com/code.php
  6. That is the right coin! I was thinking of the Antique Silver version, but looking at my picture of it, I'm not sure the gem is blue on that one either. Ahh well. You're up!
  7. Sorry, no. If people don't figure it out by Noon Pacific time, I'll give a hint.
  8. Nope. I figured this one would draw a variety of guesses, but I tried hard to ensure that there were identifying features in the drawing.
  9. Since I have high confidence on that last guess, I'll go ahead an post a drawing.. This was the first coin I ordered... Edit: Ok it must be too early in the morning, I finally got the picture to work.
  10. Is that a new butterfly I see there in the bottom center? or is that the Green/Copper one? EDIT: You know? I really shouldn't be allowed to post in the evening when this excited by new coins, I forget to say what I really mean to. What I should have said before is: *THANK YOU* for these pictures! This is the most comprehensive set of coins I've seen, including the ones showing up on ebay already!
  11. Could it be the Celtic Tree of Life? Absolutely right! Glad that was recognizable. You're up!
  12. Ok, I've never claimed I could draw.. This may be fairly easy, it may not be. I did try to do this from memory, so it's a ways off, but I think still recognizable.
  13. Oh, oh I know this one... Mine isn't here yet, so I can't take a picture... So, now to find pictures, and figure out if I can draw one... or to let this pass... Ahh, I'll just reference the picture from the source. Millenium Ring by Ernie
  14. Ahh, if only I could make it, I would attempt to save you. Unfortunately, that is not to be this year.
  15. They can be found at http://www.cacheaddict.com/activate.php
  16. I'm feeling terrible about this, but my card never made it out, due things getting a bit funky for the second half of August. I'm looking forward to seeing the ones that did make it though!
  17. Great question. We'd not settled 100% on the size. Given the amount of detail here (and on the other side) we'll probably lean toward the 2". Thanks for your suggestions, NepoKama and I will definitely be discussing them!
  18. So, NepoKama and I are working on another coin and we need your help! (Yes, I know.. our first isn't even out yet, but hey, we've seen a couple of rounds of blueprints, so it's on the way.) We are pretty settled on one side, but I can't show that to you yet. What I CAN show you is the two options we're looking at for the other side, and hopefully you have some opinions you can share with us as to which you prefer! Road's End Option 1 Road's End Option 2 So, which do *YOU* think it should be?
  19. That sounds right, though they were for sale at the Groundspeak Lost & Found event on July 4th, after Geowoodstock, as the people from geoscouting.com were there with their normal online inventory plus these. They also had the pillars of scouting tags on display, but they informed me at the time that those were really limited to what was handed out to the councils.
  20. For me? 3, 5, and 1, in that order of preference.
  21. The contribution UI is taking longer than I hoped, mostly because the day job has required more focus and time the last several weeks.
  22. So, we've been a bit slow about this news, but we've selected a mint, and tonight we've started looking at the first round of blueprints! I doubt we'll be keeping this thread fully up to date, but if you want to follow our progress, we'll be keeping our facebook page updated. You can find us on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Random-Lunac...149562588387440 We'll definitely mention it here as it approaches release.
  23. I'm going to have to say I'd prefer no leaves too. At least not in the current form. However, I love the rest of the design! A bit more on my thinking around the leaves (take it or leave it, as you see fit): The leaves remind me a bit of ivy, and on that particular design, what comes to mind is a compass rose plaque in the middle of an English garden, but I think that should have the leaves more around the edges, with a creeper or two toward the center, but that may just be me.
  24. Well, I don't see updated stats, but still. My vote for today is in. Good luck!
