I also purchased an inexpensive one from ebay which shipped from Honk Kong I believe. Suction cup mount and pivots in 2 directions and work great and holds on through the heat of a Phoenix summer
Does anyone know what to do. My oregon 450 occasionally says that there are no stored caches. Then somehow they come back. If I go to load them again and it shows that they are stored.
I am trying to make up my mind between these two. I do expect to use it for Caching,Hiking,Travel to new areas and a certain amount of on the road use, but not neccesarily for turn by turn navigation.Pros and cons please.
Thanks Al
I have had a Forerunner 205 that I have used primarily to track my downhill skiing days and also some caching. I love it. It locks in and holds a signal better than my Explorist 500 which is a few years old. The cold weather does not affect it and the battery life is excellent.
I was considering a Garmin Forerunner 205 to use while I was skiing. Does anyone have any experience with this unit and if it still maintains a signal under a jacket sleeve?
Hi I am currently using a Magellan 2000 XL that I have had for a number of years now.I am looking for something smaller and WAAS enabled.I really do not care about internal maps. The small size of the Geko make it very enticing. Is this a decent unit or just a toy? Thanks Al
