Also, I've had lots of problems with the map feature...when I click view on map..sometimes trying to zoom in or pan the map makes the map flip out and scroll crazy and move miles away from where I'm trying to zoom into.

It is very frustrating that when I am in a "no service" area, that the Geocaching application does not work, even though I have downloaded "offline lists". It appears when you first launch the app, it tries to access the internet, and it never lets me access offline lists, it just sits there keeping trying to get to the internet. Please let me use offline lists when I am in a no service area!

The site is worthless today. It takes minutes just to load a single page. Hope they fix it soon.

I installed this on my Oregon 450 last week, and today ran into some problems. I went caching, turned my Oregon on, and it immediately shut off after 1 second of the main screen coming up. I would turn it back on, and then it would freeze at the black bootup screen, forcing me to take the batteries out. After putting the batteries back in, the exact same thing would happen. These were fully charged eneloops, but just in case I tried another set of fully charged eneloops..Same problem. It was so frustrating. Anyways, I came home and loaded back v3.51 and I haven't had any problems since (crossing fingers), but I did lose all my settings and everything, which was extremely frustrating.

This was the best cache I've ever done!!!! Thanks for telling me about it! It scared the crap out of me, but it was awesome!! THANKS!

It will just be me in San Antonio...I won't have any friends with me until next week when I head to the hill country. Can it be done alone?

Any must do caches in San Antonio? I already plan to do the toilet seat virtual, but are there any other good series or caches I should do? I'd like to stay on the north side of S.A.

pocket queries should be your best friend. Pocket Queries are custom geocache queries you can have emailed to you on a daily or weekly basis. They are in a format you can bring along with you on cache hunts on your GPS and/or PDA. You can select a GPX or LOC text file that works with supported software applications. Because of the detailed queries, each search can run only once per day. Each pocket querie can contain up to 500 (1000 starting in may) detailed geocaches with all pertinent information (description, hint, size, difficulty, terrain, etc, etc) You have up to 5 pocket queries run every 24 hour period. I would not geocache if I didn't have pocket queries. It would take too long to download caches individually. ok, that's a lie..i still would, but it would definitely be more cumbersome.

Can someone explain how the birdseye works please..what do you mean by unlimited downloads for the year? How are the files organized? Let's say I want to get all birdseye for the city of houston and surrounding areas? Is that easily possible to do ? THANKS

Hey quick question about the maps at gpsfiledepot..i downloaded one of the topo maps for texas, and will load it on my oregon 450 when it arrives on wednesday. Will I be able to use the 3D topo feature with these topo maps from gpsfiledepot?

So I don't understand then the car docking kit with charger...There is USB thing to plug in to the unit and cigarette lighter.. does that simply power the unit and not do anything to recharge batteries? I see "car chargers" for these units..Please explain.
