  1. I am a current premium member so it’s not that. I guess this happened to another local today as well, as the same thing happened to him.
  2. I logged a cache tonight and forgot to mark it as a favorite when I did the log. I went back to the cache page and used the "add favorite" button. It appears to go and the number increases by one. When I reload the page though the favorite point is gone, and it's no longer marked as a favorite by me. Just noticed this tonight and just wondering if TPTB area aware of it. And wondering if the update today may have broken it. Thanks. Cache on!!
  3. Tried to sign on, It worked. Now I am trying to get back on and getting the sever 500 error.
  4. And I use GSAK. Forgot about that when i posted this.
  5. No I only have the official app.
  6. I have a question. I looked thru the forums and didn't see a thread on this. I have been noticing over the past 4 or 5 weeks, that cache listings, that I have never looked at show up in my recently viewed list. They are all over too. Hong Kong, Australia, China, etc. I've changed my password, and it's still happening. I've noticed most of them are PM only caches too. Don't really want some paranoid cache owner asking why I looked at their cache page. Was wondering if this is happening to anyone else, or if it's a known bug. Thanks Tape worm
  7. No, I don't mind DNFs at all. A DNF is good for a few reasons. Let's me know I may need to check on it and let's me know someone has been looking for it. This whole topic is based on a couple of catchers editing their DNF to a found 3 years after the cache was archived but didn't even bother to change the log and it still clearly states they didn't find it.
  8. I just looked it up but it's only for paid accounts.
  9. I just found out there is a way the project GC website will alert you via e-mail when a log is edited on any of your old archived caches. I'm going to look into that.
  10. The 3 year later edited mark made by the logger, editing the cache log. Doubt a typo was being fixed after 3 years but who knows.
  11. Yes the log date change is in the edited time/date stamp at the bottom of the log.
  12. And I wasn't suspicious of these two catchers at all. I've let people log a archived cache before if they got it before I picked it up. Just happened to notice it when I was going threw some of my old caches. I don't care to hand out a GC# or a link to the log, because I don't want to damage credibility.
  13. It was archived and removed. The online log was edited 3 years later. It clearly still states they didn't not find it, yet it's now a found it log.
  14. No these weren't done recently. About two years ago. But since editing a log doesn't send out a alert, I just noticed. The edits where done 3 years after it was archived.
  15. I have a question and sorry if this has been addressed already. Is it ok to delete a find log that the log owner changed from a DNF to a find on a old archived cache? Only reason I ask is looking threw some of my old archived caches, I noticed a logger has changed their DNF to a find, three years after I archived it. They left the log the same and clearly stating it wasn't found, it's just been edited to a find with the edit note on the bottom of the log. To me it's a bogus find, but wanted to know the thoughts before I did anything. Because it was edited I didn't get a email alert like a new log posting or would have taken care of it much sooner. I didn't think we needed to monitor old archived caches.
  16. How long is a typical CITO event?
  17. But where 600 Geocaches hidden in Rhode Island within the first year and a half of GC's launch date? I'll bet the number was between 50 and 100.
  18. Since locationless finds were included in peoples' find counts, I think there would have been a huge protest if those stats were removed (especially from those who like milestones). Lots of people pay attention to their find counts. Challenge counts...not so much (especially now). So what if they are included? That doesn't matter. They where locked down, and removed from the site, but the data was allowed to stay. Ie...photos, logs. If they are going to remove things that don't pan out the way they hoped, (Challenges, Location-less, virtuals), leave the data there so we can look it back up if we want to, or to be fair to every one remove all those stats that no longer apply or are achievable on the site. You may not know Earth Caches for a while where not allowed to be made anymore, but when that got worked out to bring them back we had a good 3 months notice it was going to happen. Please do not add words when you quote me, it's bad form even though it was done to clarify what was being talked about!!
  19. Didn't the customers show what they thought by the relatively low popularity of them? There were less than 10 Challenges in Rhode Island, compared to 2000+ geocaches. To me, that says a lot. Sounds like the early days of Geocaching, and how has that developed threw the years? Your comparison is kinda unfair given challenges where around for a year and a half, and Geocaches, have been around for 12. Not that it really matters now, they have been pulled.
  20. My Samsung works great to go to the site and read a cache page in full, if it's too long for my Oregon or if the page is made using a photo and is just linked via html. But I'd never trust it taking a cord reading. Some of those 60+ feet off in this area where done using a smart phone. I finally found that out when one spilled the beans about giving up a etrex and using just the phone. Thankfully most have been updated after others posted good cords 7 or 8 times.
  21. That's true. We are just the lowly customers... Who cares what the customers think? Yup, unfortunately next to no backlash will happen, even though some of us liked them.due to the "popularity" of them. I was stoked when I completed 50 of them, considering there wasn't a ton around. Had a few I never got around to logging. Oh well life moves on and some of them are going to make great virtuals elsewhere.
  22. Got that but I personally didn't have enough time to grab uploaded pics. Don't understand why that "stat" was wiped off the site but location-less "stats" where allowed to stay when they moved off the site. Oh well... It's groundspeaks site and they can do as they wish.
  23. I would like my "stat" of completed challenges back, please. Locationless stats where left, so why remove the challenge stat?
  24. Why? I mean I'm not opposed to absolutely everything possible on a cache page being provided in an alert but why the owner name specifically? bd I'd want to add if it's a PMO as well. Considering the area you know why. I'd perfer not to make it on a certian ones cache aduit log, but I guess I have to, to put it on my ignore list. Doh!!!
  25. I noticed tonight, that when I click on the "View nearby Challenges" on "my profile" page, it defaults to 47°39.585'N 122°21.354'W instead of using my home cords.
