  1. "so this thread is dedicated to those topics that really annoy the forum frequents." YOU are by far the most frequent forum poster!
  2. ^That. And put a shirt on! Oh wait... no need anymore. On edit: You have been caching for awhile now and undoubtedly have some experience to share with others. Why the drive by insults? If you don't agree with the situation you find yourself in then try to make it better. Insults and belittling the people that share the same hobby as you should not be nearly as fulfilling as helping them become better at the hobby you share. No need to prom everybodys poush. You are either part of the problem or part of the solution and I don't see you offering many solutions.
  3. Be a shame should something happen to a person in the woods while stealing caches...
  4. I used to hide nudie magazines (I predate internet porn) under my bed but I never intended anyone to find them, least of all my mother.
  5. I agree Zen master. or as Bruce Lee used to say "be the water"
  6. C'mon ashnikes... you were starting to be respected taken more seriously. Don't ruin that.
  7. My guess would be that very few people if any will find these caches so there will be no need to perform maintenance on them. More likely though is it's just a novelty thing.
  8. I've heard of people here in Alberta using rubberized undercoating or rocker guard on ammo cans. I'm sure that would work great. Now that I think about it, it would probably work to stop the UV damage to plastics. Might not protect against liquid nitrogen though.
  9. Average tow here has cost me about $80. Price for AMA is $90 a year and include lock out service, trip planning, discounts at hotels, points when refueling that can be used towards membership dues, they will bring you gas if you run out, they will come and change a flat tire for you, boost your car when the battery dies and many other things aside from the towing. I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes for service (although I have never had to use it during a storm or anything). Very much worth it for me as I am a courier that drives about 200kms a day 5-6 days a week. Umm... I think I went a tad off topic with my verbal spewage. I do plan on buying a spot though. I and the wife were caching in the mountains this week without cell service and encountered a bear. SPOT would help them find our scattered bones.
  10. There's an app for 911? Wouldn't it be just as easy to umm... I dunno... dial 911?
  11. Uh oh. I've got zero finds and I've put out a bunch of caches. Will I suffer bad karma? ....at least one of your sockpuppets will for sure. What are those? You remember Lambchop don't you?
  12. I am sorry about my potty mouth. I didn't mean for it to be vulgar...just funny! I don't even remember what I wrote. Why and what? why do I have a feeling we will read about this in a newspaper someday?
  13. you have a point you wish to make? I think he just figured we needed a 2nd "you people needed to get a life" thread in the past 5 days. Dang, they typically average less than one a month. well, i guess if one hunts for LPC there isn't much to talk about I'll be your Huckleberry.... I hunt for LPC's... I hunt for ammo cans in the woods... Tell me why there isn't much to talk about? i said nothing about ammo cans in the woods...would you perhaps want to read my reply again? Nope. Pretty sure you think people that do hunt for LPC's only hunt for them and not other caches. At least that is the impression you gave. IMBWBYASAA
  14. I blame you for all the things wrong in my life.

  16. I suffered from Lakanookie for several years. I even resorted to the internet for cures. Some were helpful... some were not. There are various 'medical' devices that can deal with that.
  17. Actually no. If you have a disability you know it and don't need any proof to allow you to post.
  18. I will second that. There should be a thread or section for people with disabilities. I belong to a few RV forums that have such a thing and they are an excellent resource.
  19. They drink a lot of beer and make ashnikes life miserable. *** they also do other good things.
  20. +1 I learned to take photos of trackable numbers, now my cell phone is full of photos of them. I'll probably log them someday... Yes, especially for the girls who wear their TB tags as necklaces. WHATever. I did learn that there are a lot of people out there that have different ideas of where personal space is. I had total strangers coming up to me and picking up my travel bug tags that were hanging around my neck. I learned to grab them and display them for people when I saw them coming. Naw, it doesn't bother me that much, I just find it odd and a little disconcerting that people assume that it's ok. Personally, I hugged so many people, more than I probably ever have at one time. I still feel all warm and fuzzy from the weekend. OK now that is funny. I was so happy to see you and your smiling face that I didn't even notice you had tags around your neck. I was actually referring to a young halter clad blond girl at GW4 who was thoroughly enjoying the additional attention. I chose to be more general as I thought it was more discrete. Yeah, yeah, you complimented my smile, so I'll let it slide. I'm not halter clad (and not blonde anymore, now that I've grown up), but here's a picture of me, where you can kinda see my tags: Photochopping that pic as you read this to put you in a halter top and make your hair blond. (kidding! you look swell as you are)
  21. The rocks with the names on were almost certainly "signature items". Yeah... maybe not the best you will ever find, but I suspect that was the intent. The bullet was either left by a rank newbie, or possibly a muggle. No experienced cacher that I know of would leave something like that in a cache. That said, a .22 caliber bullet in a cache is relatively harmless. Without the compression of a firing chamber and the guidance system of a barrel, what you have is pretty much a fire cracker. The lightweight brass of the shell is what is going to be the most serious part, if it did go off at all. Yeah, that could hurt, could even cause blindness, but nobody is gonna get shot. Oh come on! in your opinion a .22 caliber bullet is relatively harmless and you say it is pretty much a firecracker??? Are firecrackers OK or not? (sorry... I had to call you on this)
  22. Watch out for this guy. I was asking a question, not stating I was going to do it. And thanks to the others for the answers I was looking for. Your question wasn't like "how does a bumble bee fly?". You know you were asking because it was something you wanted to do. And as for "And thanks to the others for the answers I was looking for" part, You will NOT get the answers you are looking for on any forum if you are only looking for answers that agree with you. I personally didn't take offense at your post at all. I think it was good that you asked before trying to just spam the forums. Good luck in your business endeavors.
  23. I dunno... any cache like that isn't worth it's weight in salt.
