Somehow I am not seeing what the past few responders see. I don't see where Cptnodegard says he would not get the other caches removed and that he likes them there.
IMO Cptnodegard is asking if its ok that the reviewer has said that if he got the caches archived that the new caches would be "rejected by him as the reviewer."
That act would seem like retailation to me rather than being judicious as a reviewer.
Is is to ok get the other caches archived because of the initial no permission granted, yes. Is it the right thing to do now that the administrators know about it, maybe not. Nothing Cptnodegard has said in my opinion would be in violation of playing the game "his way"
That's what I saw also. And then people read into things.

I've been waiting/hoping that people would catch on to that idea.
Or for people to post actual experiences with finding ammo in caches, experiencing problems/explosions with ammo found in caches, etc. rather than posting unrelated anecdotes and information.

Apparently very similar, but unreleated, to wild parsnip, which we've been warned about in the midwest for a few years. I haven't seen any yet myself (and hope not to!)

Not trying to be argumentative here but does that mean that all people are allowed to say is "no, it is not appropriate swag" without giving a reason why?
They surely shouldn't say "yes, it is appropriate swag" because Groundspeak has said it isn't.

I agree with everyone! But here is my dilemma and I'm sure I am not the only one.
I live in a city of a million people...
I live downtown in that city.
I live in a 1000 square foot condo on the 15th floor.
I drive a small SUV.
A ladder is not common to me or the people I know.
Even if it was... it would not fit in my car.
Sure... i might be able to borrow a 20ft ladder from someone (a ridiculous idea)
but why would I ?
and how would I get it to the cache?
A ridiculously long ladder or canoe.. Kayak or 300 ft of rope are not common things.
I have two 1000 watt generators in my girlfriends garage... does that mean everyone should?
They (one does) get much more use than a 20ft ladder.
I have to disagree with you Brian.. but if you ever need to borrow a generator...

Yes she did.
My mother almost died last year and it was a real eye opener for me.
I never was much of a mamas boy but always loved my mother.
Her almost dying made me think of how much life would be different without
her in my life. It would not be something I would enjoy.
I now try to spend more time with her.
I am have much more patience with her than before.
I even hid a cache with her and listed her as the co-hider.

If you were to name your cache after that charity and/or promote it in your cache page write-up, include links etc. that would be against the guidelines.
Putting swag in a cache that has the name of a charity (or business) on it is fine. My wife works for a major pharmaceutical company and comes home from meetings with bags of swag with the brand names of different drugs, or the names of vendors. Good stuff too. Small MP3 players, thumb drives, desk sets, mouse pads, stress balls, you name it. It all goes into my cache box where I keep stuff to stock new caches.
Just remember not to use samples of drugs or left over drugs from your deceased fathers medicine cabinet for swag!

I submitted a cache listing last night at about 9:00 PM. When I got up for work this morning at 8:00 AM I checked my email and saw it was approved.
I checked it on my iPhone at around noon and it already had 2 finds!

Got my Garmin Legend in the mail today! Not the H....Just the Garmin Legend.....It has a VERY funny cord hookup it looks like.....I found a cheap place to buy a USB to RS232 db9 adapter....However, I need a good place to buy the PC Interface Cable (RS232 Serial Port Connector) that connects to the original legend???
Any info would be KILLER!

Some of you guys are saying that Ammo Cans DO have a seal. I am telling you from personnel experience with them in the military that not all of them do. I have a couple from when I served that do not, and never did have a seal on them. If you want to argue with me about it I can post up pictures to show you. Maybe the ones you have gotten have had them, but again NO ALL DO. Please dont try to argue this fact as I will have to make you recant your words.
Take a DEEEP breath in......(hold it).... Now Exhale.... Good. Repeat that several times.
So you have some ammo cans that don't have a seal. OK. We get it. I was in the Marines. I was an 0331 Machine gunner and then got certified to drive explosives. EVERY ammo can that I personally dealt with HAD a seal. Does this mean that EVERY ammo can in the world has one? No. From now on read posts from this thread as Ammo Cans make great Caches Containers.
(I'd be careful dealing with an explosives/ammunition container that didn't have a seal, moisture can destabilize explosives very fast!)
I know that it can destabilize the explosives depending on conditions. I worked around a lot of different kinds of explosives. From cads, to flares, to 20mm rounds, to stuff I dont really talk about. Loved being an Ordie. I had to get my explosive drivers license also. Actually stopped on a freeway once for someone tailgating me while transporting. Some people just arent that smart when it comes to explosives.
Also I wasnt trying to be mean, its just that 2 earlier posters said that Ammo Cans do have seals. If they had said that the ones they have run into, or the ones that they have seen have them I would not have said what I said. I was just correcting a mistake. If you or anyone else took offense I do apologize it was not my intention. Like I said I was correcting a comment.
Also none that we were given from base weps ever had seals on them. Maybe its a Navy thing.
Not trying to argue with you or anything of the sort but why would they not have a gasket to seal them?
It just seems odd to me.

You know what....As a Premium member, I will NEVER post a premium members only cache. EVERYONE should be allowed to take part in Geocaching to it's full extent even if they are in a financial hard time.... I would hope that they would turn to Gecaching as an inexpensive hobby, compared to a lot of others out there..... But if you guys want to deny people because they don't have the extra money...or they simply don't want to spend the 30$ for a website because they have other things to spend money on. That's up to you. But remember Geocaching started out for free...and it should remain that way.....If you choose to support the website and it's community, more pwer to you! You are helping to make the website stronger and get a bigger community. But you have to remember the community in all this! In a time of financial hardship, Should we be teling people NO! You cannot do this because you didn't put 30$ in the pool?
I guess I just am more fcused on the enjoyment of the sport than being crazy about not letting non premiums touch my caches!
Sometimes I wish I could make a basic member only cache, and see how you like it....

The only way GS could prevent most Premium Members from getting a Basic member account is by charging for a basic account and requiring no two accounts to use the same CC number, billing address or paypal account.

Almost everyone who has any time in the forum knows that they cant delete unless there is a lack of signature.
Most of those that don't come to the forum end up learning by way of reinstatement that they can't delete them.
Those that don't learn, end up getting them selves in trouble with TPTB.
As for your dejected statement, I wish that you could make one too and I lived near you so that you would find out that the simple truths would hold in both directions. Just because a PM would have to work a little harder to find a BMOC doesn't mean they are being denied access to it or the smiley provided as currently holds with BM finding PMOC.

This whole idea could and should be left to die. It does not foster friendly feelings amongst anyone.
I have no desire to make a person move their cache.
I have no desire to have it removed even if I could.
I have no desire to be the guy that does that.
Most importantly, I have no desire to make a friend or enemy of a reviewer.
The world is large and there are plenty of places to place caches.
Sure... your favorite spot might be gone but hey... it might have been their favorite spot also.
or maybe they just had a micro to put in a spruce tree...
such is life.
