  1. Note: Cross-posted from the 日本語 topic I bought a bunch of geocaching stock a while back but haven't been able to dedicate enough time to my hobby. Now we are moving house and I need to make space so this has to go. I'm hoping to sell it at bargain basement prices if anyone is interested. I'm in Japan, Tokyo. Happy to meet in Tokyo, or if you live in Japan mail it to you. Feel free to contact me.

  4. Hi! I run a small Geocaching product web site in Japan called Cachekuni.com and I'm looking for input from Japanese Geocachers. At CacheKuni we are planning to increase the number of official geocaching.com products we carry. The problem is that there are so many official products that we need your help in deciding what to add to our product line-up. To get your input and make Cachekuni offer products that Japanese geocachers really want we've created an online survey. By filling out the survey you'll help make CacheKuni provide the products that _you_ want, and as a thank you we will enter everyone who fills out the survey in a draw to win a free product* of their choice! You can visit out survey at the link below (you'll need to create an account so we know how to contact you if you win the draw): http://cachekuni.com/content/new-product-survey Thanks for helping us out and happy geocaching! *All products except for starter kit and small cache set
*(スターターキットとスモールキャッシュセットを除く) Happy geocaching!!
  6. I definitely want some too! I have a very small online geocaching store here in Japan and would love to list Anime geocoins as an item. If someone makes them, I will buy them! www.cachekuni.com
  7. I'll have to read the user agreement again, but if I'm just showing my own personal cache finds I would think it would be ok. Better to check first though. So how do web sites like this one do it? http://igo.tamatoledo.org/new-iowa-caches
  8. Great timing on this post. I'm looking at putting a Google Map with caches overlayed on top of it and this post seems to point me in the right direction. At least I hope it does! Assuming I get the data from geocaching.com using Pocket Queries and then export the data to KML using GPSBabel, how does one get the fancy cache icons to show up, and with cache details in the information bubble? Thanks in advance!
  9. I started a Japan Geocaching community web site and I'd like to incorporate some maps/tools to list various caches in Japan, and if possible map them a la Google Maps. Does anyone know of any web site plugins that do this? I stumbled across this web site which can display all the caches in Iowa, all the new caches, favorite caches, etc. http://igo.tamatoledo.org/find-iowa-caches http://igo.tamatoledo.org/new-iowa-caches http://igo.tamatoledo.org/favorite-cache-map They've even created a leader board of sorts at the bottom of their main page. So two questions: 1- How to get the basic information? I'm guessing it's a simple matter of getting a premium account and some PQ's? 2- More importantly, how to map those onto a Google Map (or other Map)? Thanks! Jc www.cachekuni.com
  10. All I can say is that I'm happy that at least they *try* to get some English in there. Otherwise I'd have a hard time feeding my geocaching addiction while in Japan Oh, and a shameless plug for a new Geocaching Japan site I just started ... www.cachekuni.com Hopefully we can meet on the message boards there too!

  12. I'm trying to do the same thing but having trouble finding suppliers. I've found manufacturers for most of the typical cache products but unfortunately they deal in huge quantities. Minimum order quantity is usually around 5,000 pieces! If you find anything please share
