  1. For example there is a rule on Commercial events, such that you can't say the the event is to be held in a particular named pub (you have to leave people to work this out from the location). Last time I checked it was being applied vigorously, without exceptions.

This has no longer been the case for quite a few years now. You can mention the venue and link to a menu but you cannot over promote the food or drinks etc.

  2. We all review to the same as the full guideline says

Geocaches are never buried, neither partially nor completely.

If one has to dig or create a hole in the ground when placing or finding a geocache, it is not allowed.

So if we knoe this it wont be published

I have one of these containers hidden and it is amongst other rocks in a hole that was already there, so it can be used within the guidelines.

  3. are they welsh?

I don't think it was a wee Welsh accent, maybe a bit more North, or South, or maybe East. Then again it may be from more out West way.

The red duster moniker surely would indicate some merchant navy lark connection - perhaps Portsmouth or Plymouth based?

    Could be Glasgow/Clyde?

I hope Red Duster has fun with this for as long as poss! :D

  4. My bunting is up, champagne in fridge and I'll be watching it from about 9.00am. No caching for me but will be reviewing and hopefully publishing new caches!(before I drink too much champagne  ).

I am going to meet some French cachers who are over on holiday for a drink at 4.00 and will be hearing all about their caching. :)

  5. Only just looking at the forums this morning as with the nice weather have been kept very busy reviewing my own areas and South Wales whilst the reviewer is on holiday, and being a new area my review times are taking longer as I get to grips with Welsh place names!

Just to give you some idea this morning I have published 15 caches, disabled 11 and archived 1. Of those I disabled 2 are for the second time. Mrs B is right, many caches go back and forth quite a few times before being published. Sometimes because the explanation doesn't clarify, sometimes because I haven't spotted something first time or because a change has brought along a new issue.

But what all the reviewers do is try to work with you to have your caches published. The resources that Graculus has suggested are great please use them, I do as a reviewer and cache placer!
