  1. This has no longer been the case for quite a few years now. You can mention the venue and link to a menu but you cannot over promote the food or drinks etc.
  2. We all review to the same as the full guideline says So if we knoe this it wont be published I have one of these containers hidden and it is amongst other rocks in a hole that was already there, so it can be used within the guidelines.
  3. Just an observation abiherts - there is currently no ferry from Weymouth to Jersey, they are all to and from Poole - so you may need to check your travel arrangements
  4. Looking forward to working with the new person Yvonne
  5. I'm an erratic reviewer with no set pattern to when I sit and review. Sometimes it can be before I start work, mid morning, lunch time, afternoon or evening. Somedays I don't review at all due to work/home life. Keeps the cachers on their toes for the FTF's!!
  6. I don't think it was a wee Welsh accent, maybe a bit more North, or South, or maybe East. Then again it may be from more out West way. Could be Glasgow/Clyde? I hope Red Duster has fun with this for as long as poss!
  7. My bunting is up, champagne in fridge and I'll be watching it from about 9.00am. No caching for me but will be reviewing and hopefully publishing new caches!(before I drink too much champagne ). I am going to meet some French cachers who are over on holiday for a drink at 4.00 and will be hearing all about their caching.
  8. Only just looking at the forums this morning as with the nice weather have been kept very busy reviewing my own areas and South Wales whilst the reviewer is on holiday, and being a new area my review times are taking longer as I get to grips with Welsh place names! Just to give you some idea this morning I have published 15 caches, disabled 11 and archived 1. Of those I disabled 2 are for the second time. Mrs B is right, many caches go back and forth quite a few times before being published. Sometimes because the explanation doesn't clarify, sometimes because I haven't spotted something first time or because a change has brought along a new issue. But what all the reviewers do is try to work with you to have your caches published. The resources that Graculus has suggested are great please use them, I do as a reviewer and cache placer!
  9. Also read the Geocaching Association of Great Britain site for details on additional UK/local guidelines http://gagb.co.uk/what-is-geocaching/cache-guidelines/ and landowner agreements in place. 11. Please let me know if there are any in Jersey and Guernsey with UK as the country. Couldn't find any when I looked.
  12. Well I did stop for most of the day as only a few in the queue and I wanted to go out caching myself. Regards Antheia Volunteer UK Reviewer - geocaching.com UK Geocaching Information & Resources site http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/ Edited to correct the website URL but doesn't seem to come out right!
