I asked, but I got this long story from our son about how he is called different names in different movies, don't know if its true, but I just figured it would be easier to call him baby Godzilla. lol Although I just asked him again and he said this particular version is in fact Minilla or Minya, guess I wasn't paying that much attention when I put his description down. I did edit it to show the correct name and a picture. Thanks!

Maybe this has happened to others, but as first time TB owners, I find this kind of comical. (my son, not so much) lol Anyway we took a trip over Memorial day weekend to the mountains, about 370 miles from our house. We decided it would be a good time/place to get one of our TB off to a good start. Not too long after we placed it the TB gets picked up. After almost 2 months of no movement we email the holder of the TB for an update, they apologize and say they will drop ASAP. Well a few days later we get the notification the TB has been dropped. Much to our surprise it was dropped less then 2 miles from our house, within walking distance!!! What are the odds? lol Anyway I assume its OK for us to pick up and move again??? Thanks

Thanks Droo. I wasn,t looking to sell activated coins, but I noticed a lot of coins FS on the forum some activated some not, so I wasn't sure what that quite meant if they were activated. Thanks for explaining. I've also noticed mystery coins FS so was curious what they were. So they're basically random acts of kindness per say from fellow geocahcers? Thanks

I read as much as I can of the FAQ tonight and just want to make sure, in a nut shell, I have this all right. I would like to get into collecting Geocoins and assume the best way to do this is to either design my own (and then trade) or purchase coins that are of interest to me. Is it OK to purchase off of eBay/other collectors as long as the coin is not activated? Also coins found in caches (meant for travel) are not to be kept, but are coins ever dropped in Caches as swag? Meaning is it possible to find a coin in a cache that you can keep? If I create my own coin I can trade/sell on the forums correct? (and yes I understand the trackable coins do need approval before being created) is there a thread by any chance with pics of coins people have created? And finally what exactly are mystery coins? Thanks in advance!

Quick question. We found a geo coin today and it is listed as in the hands of the owner still, not where we found it. The owner posted it on the site this past Friday. Should it be listed where it was first dropped before I log that we found it? Perhaps the owner dropped today and hasn't had a chance to post yet? Please let me know. Thanks

Just curious, if a TB doesnt move (rarely visited cache) can we retrieve it ourselves and move to another cache? My son just placed his first cache and when we got home we realized the cache we placed it in doesnt get many visitors. We of course would wait a few weeks, but looking at the cache history, it doesnt get much action. lol Thanks!

Thanks for the instructions. I finally found it. lol Go to the log where your picture is. Make sure the picture you want to delete is appearing in the upper right section of the log, and you will see a link that says, "Edit Image". When you click on that, there will be an image of a garbage can in the upper right. Click on that and follow the instructions.

So we should turn WAAS off? I swear we used it on our Nuvi 660 which seems to get excellent accuracy and signal. Then again that is one of the older models.

Wow, I really hope there is just something we are missing here, but we were not thrilled with it. Loved how easy it is to use and the size, BUT...it shut off twice on us (is there an auto shut off perhaps if there is no activity for a while?) and the accuracy was not as good as I was expecting. My Nuvi 255W seem to do a better job. (quicker and more accurate) The Nuvi is not exactly the unit we want to be walking around with. PLEASE tell me I'm just missing something or just need to do some updates. Thanks!

Wow, thanks so much for the quick feedback. We will defiently break it open today. Will only need/use this for geocaching as we both have Nuvi's for the cars. Quick quesiton, do we need the Topo maps or is that really just an extra plus? Can we get by without them for now? Thanks everyone!!!

Ok so were new to Geocaching and saw the Colorado 300 at Best Buy today on clearance for $180.00. Not the exact one we were considering but the price seemed right. Having only used our Nuvi on our few first finds, we have nothing to compare the Colorado too. For the price should we keep it or sell it and consider saving for the 60csx? Well its been over a week and it still shows. I was wondering if perhaps it doesn't come out of inventory until I place it in a new cache? Cache TB's home page Thanks for any help. Just saw your edit, yes it was the homing plane.

Sorry I'm not quite getting all this. (still pretty new to me) But whats the difference between "grabbing" a TB or "retrieving" it? I "retrieved" from a cache, which does show on the TB's home page, however the TB is still listed in the caches inventory where we found it. Did I do something wrong when logging it in? Thanks!
