Hi I have microsoft auto route on my pc. I have been copy and pasteing OS gr points into the find box, and saving them to a map. is there any way of getting lots of them onto the map in one go or maybe importing them. cheers bpountyhunter1

I wonder if this new GPS antenna will give better accuracy on my etrex if it does maybe i could sell the invention to Garmin. Ive already Painted it (get it pantented it) oh well

Hi I think that alot of the police force are secret geocachers that dont want anyone to know and some of the caches maybe a little to difficult for them to find. So if you cant find a cache and you don't want to cheat and look at the spoiler you either go away and come back another day. ( This would be very difficult for most policemen due to the amout of paper work they have to do ) The only other alternative is BRING SOME FRIENDS, hence you see 200 bobbys on there hands and knees supposedly looking for clues to a crime when we all know there looking for an elusive cache. Hi i was looking for something for under a ton second hand, it doesnt have to be able to run maps with the etrex attached maybe just cache sheets but if it could run maps with the gps attached that would be great. just looking for as many different typs of handhand that do what i want it to do cheers bountyhunter1 (tight a*se)

hi just thought of a new rouse to eliminate muggles from a busy muggle area. How many time are you walking through the streets and are accosted by a market reasearcher most people keep there eyes open and walk in the opposite direction. so all you have to do is walk around with a clip born and a look on your face that says i want to ask you a few (hahaha) questions. garunteed to make a 100yard exclusion zone around were you are. i should kow my wife has been doing market reasearch for about 13 years. also if i am going to a childrens play ground i take my son with me and push him on the swings for a while and then let him play on the slide while i search around for the cache . this always takes the heat of me as everyone stairs at him maybe because hes 18 years old and 6ft 2in but he enjoys a little father son bonding lol cheers BountyHunter1

hi i missed the meet near sherwood in september and i was wondering if there are any more around the nottingham or derby area in the pipeline. i've only ever met two other cachers and that was last week at "The Abbey" and a very nice couple they were as well " Team Lemur" new comers to the sport. thought it would be nice to meet a few more cachers in the flesh so to speak Cheers BountyHunter1

hi all theres only one thing better than going out caching and getting wet through on the outside and thats going out to a beer festival and getting wet through on the inside as well, went to Nott'm beer fest saturday and caching on sunday what an idlic life i lead but when the wife starts to feel like a geocaching widow then its time to mend some bridges, i made her a member of camra so she can go to the beer festivals and i going to talk her into going caching with me soon. Hi I was recently at "The Lightening Tree" cache and took what i thought was a TB when i got it home i found it was a Geotraveller called "Francais hte Frog" he has a Web address to visit to find out more about him. I went to the site WWW.britishideas.com/gps but there is very little info on the site it doesn't look like its been updated for a while. Well After reading this topic i think its getting decidedly silly. Now every one knows that fishing waders would not be at all suitable with a pink tu tu now thigh high leather boots with 6 inch heels would be absolutley perfick. especially if you carried a nice whip to beat of any geocachers that may be heading for the same cache as you and had a good chance of winning, or could that be going a little bit to far and am i giving away my secrets. Im a little in the dark as to the rules of the TB race. I have noticed that Mr Hedgehog has already visited 3 counties but he has only been logged in at one cache he has also been moved on to most of his visits by the same cacher/s i.e DJH. I was doing "Major Oak " cache in sherwood forest and noticed some suspisious caracters hanging about i walked away from the area of the cache as i hadn't yet found it but i was close i just wandered about for a cou[ple of minutes. Then i noticed that they had got a couple of magellan gps and i realised that they wre on the hunt for the same cache so i got back to work while they hung around in the wings while i filled the log in etc. I dont know who they were because i forgot to ask and they havn't logged a find or otherwise yet. Hi I just bought an Olympus C120 it has 2mega pixel for £179 with an 8 meg card supplied with that you can get 5 Super high res pics 16 High res 30ish medium res and 47 low res i also bought a 128 meg car for extra pics this holds 92 Super high res 256 high res etc, etc. I think this will be plenty for my needs and i didnt find that much differance between the Super high res and the high res. I only paid £30.55 for the 128 meg smart media card no p&p. I have seen the same camera in argos for about £150. Hi All Just a thought, but maybe we should carry Geocaching insurance when we go on the hunt just incase of a natural or unnatural disaaster. Maybe a tree will fall on us or a cache may have a guard badger that attacks anyone that comes near the treasure, or maybe even an abduction by alien Geocachers, ( I wonder what kind of GPS'r they use, maybe we should have a poll for that).
