  1. Great idea for a cointest. Here's part of a log from yesterday... I had crawled under dense brush through an opening about 14" high. A completely uncivilized location but only feet from a nice, paved bike path. The ground was bare, wet mud. I'm a middle-aged, grey-haired lady. At one point I was in disbelief and soon afterward was saying out loud "I can't believe I'm doing this." Of course just a moment later, a muggle comes along. There is nothing I can do but stay quiet. D and geodog Mag try to act natural. But Muggle's dogs are pitching a FIT (translated as "High Alert! Alert! There is a woman hiding in the bushes!!!") and the THREE of them draaaagg their muggle towards me. Then I think the muggle eyes caught mine and he let out a loud laugh of surprise! But since I wasn't *positve* I'd been spotted, I stayed quiet, which I think confused and then worried him and he hurried off. As soon as he's out of earshot of course we burst out laughing.
  2. So sorry to hear about the burgers. All my cows are now on the mooove! Mooo! Chico just got picked up yesterday... Yes!!!
  3. WOW!!! That coin is gorgeous and your story makes it even better! The dragon could not have chosen a more deserving person, you know. Congratualtions ATMouse!!! Oh, please tell me I can get one somewhere... by hook or by crook?
  4. June would be much better for me!
  5. Thanks for volunteering to run this, Ashallond. The timing is terrible for me, but I'm in!
  6. Thanks so much Moozer - you did a great job outfitting the tags for us. Love the pic too! This event sounds so fun - I would love to meet my cows there next year. We visited that area once and it's so beautiful.
  7. I was thinking the same thing! We should have asked for a hole.
  8. Wow - Way to go, keewee! First thing I did when I woke up was run to the computer to check on my cows! But they're still shown at the event. My fingers are crossed that they're actually in good hands and having so much fun they're too busy to log in. Who knew cows could be so exciting!?
  9. My coins arrived today - they are beautiful. Thank you! I got the hard enamel and the gold and love them both. Auctions for the samples are still going on and I'm hoping to win one of those also. Search "River Cacher" on the e-place.
  10. A very beautiful coin, reflecting very beautiful sentiment.
  11. It's been working for me - not sure why I'm special!
  12. Hey - River Cacher sample coins are listed on the eplace. Can't remember if I can post links - just search "River Cacher Geocoin" and you'll find them.
  13. Got my order in too and can't wait to see them! I hope they're selling madly - can't see the quantities on this site though.
  14. Thanks Droo - those were posted by avroair though - I think they were from the mint. I'm having a vision problem at the moment but I snapped one. Still doesn't capture the coin though. See those wierd optical effects in the shiny gold? That is not there! Must have been the aliens messing with my pic!!!
  15. These turned out beautifully. I hope they sell like hotcakes. Laval K-9... Wow. Very touching. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Very nice... Looking forward to this one.
  17. The otters are fabulous! I got them all so I could decide in person which ones to keep... but, I can't part with any of them! They're just beautiful. BTW, Anne, my Feline Finder icon is working now - thank you!
  18. My geoswag club coin, Crop Circles, came today and I really like it! Pics don't do it justice. The red side has a thick clear coat over it. When I feel for the actual edge of the coin from that side, it's not there! - my finger just glides onto the edge surface. In contrast, the other side has a sharp edge. This difference probably sounds irrelevant but I like it - very interesting. The blue/red side is great, contrasting bare rough metal and translucents, both with multiple levels... texturally interesting again. Also like that the required "Track at..." is on the edge. Hope someone will post some better pics... I'm unable at the moment Thanks for a great coin. Please tell ... What is the significance of the one black dot on the red side?
  19. I ordered a set but I'll want to trade a few if there are takers. The way I see it, we all benefit if coin designers have these great tools. So I hope enough sets get ordered to make it a "go".
  20. one of my favorite geocoins (if there were just one, I wouldn't have this "problem", lol): got coords? Sea Foam who organized the Heifer Great Cow Race: Jackalgirl Heifer is a wonderful organization. Thanks to Jackalgirl for the super-fun Cow Race.. I can't wait! Great idea and plug, keewee!
  21. Put me down for a set, depending on price. If you can match that $100 per set, I'll bite. Otherwise I'll want at least half a set. Maybe it should be repeated what coins these are... This is a set of 14 coins, each showing all the translucent colors. Each of the 14 is a different metal/finish: Gold Silver Nickel Brass Copper Black Nickel New Antique Gold Antique Gold Antique Silver Antique Nickel Antique Copper Antigue Bronze Satin Gold Satin Silver
  22. Very beautiful coin! Thank you!
  23. I love these coins and am tempted but I really don't need an entire set.
  24. Got my kitties and was happy one had the 2 white paw variation. Thank you!
