Talán ide illik leginkább. Elég régen rejtettem a .com-on, most megint bekövetkezett. A láda viszont jópár napja listán van, és semmi visszajelzés. Az első bejelentéskor pár órán belül jött válasz Pupsino-tól, megigazítottam amit kért, de azóta semmi. nem vagyok türelmetlen, csak érdeklődöm, hogy mennyi idő alatt szokott zajlani az ilyesmi? Egy jóféle chirp-es csészéről van szó egyébként.

Egy mágnes-ötlet, hátha másnak is hasznos: az IKEA-ban kapható 600Ft-os áron egy cucc a konyha-részlegen. Falra csavarozható, kb. 10cm hosszú, színes műanyag burkolattal, és evőeszközök mágneses rögzítésére való. Eredeti állapotában nagyobb ládát is megtart, de az igazi jópofaság akkor derül ki, ha széttépjük a cuccot. Lakik benne 2db. hosszabb (3cm) és 3db. rövidebb (2cm) mágnesrúd. Igen erős, egy klasszikus filmesdoboznyi méretű dolgot remekül megtart.

The cartridge nontains 10 "emergency" zones (no entry, penalty points), and 18 information zones (text message about next leg of track). All zones are active, and invisible. Do you think, is it too much?

...sorry, it was a post sending precox. I tried to create cartridges for Colorado, than Oregon and Nuvi550, but the system (Groundspeak builder and the Garmin players on all devices) is unstable at this moment. I very hope, this fantastic game not just a joke from Garmin. We are waiting for 'official' answres... A little bit OFF, about Nuvi550: I very like this device, but in walking mode it works like a weak PDA with static navigation: the Nuvi don't believe, we are walking really. Just stay, and stay, and stay, then moves some meters... The walking direction (or course pointer) turns very slowly, too. OK, normally I don't start from home less than 2 Garmins (one for car, and one for walking), but this multifunctional one is a lovely idea. Maybe will better with the next firmware (with Wherigo player fixing)...

Hi TheHarvesters! Thank you! Let's critise my cartridges, itsn't problem! I think, we can lurn from this infos. I have builded some other cartridges, with many other functions. I thinked, this is a simple one, with simple functions, but the Oregon is dead under this cartridge. Maybe will be beter, if in the information zones I don't use text messages, just the zone's description. But I think, if the Wherigo player deads more than 20 zones, itsn't a good news...

Hi Everybody! I have a not too complicated cartridge, see the attached zip: the source lua file with used jpg images, and a gdb file with zones (purple routes), and some tracklogs. A checked this cartridge with an Oregon300, a Nuvi550 and with OpenWIG on my Nokia E90. All devices with the latest firmware. (I tried the cartridges created by builder and Wherigo.com engine, too. The results is same.) Sorry for the (Hungarian) language of the cartridge! Just for understand, the game is: escape from a prison island. You can walk just on a slim track. If you leave this track (enter to the zones), you'll get penalty points. If you stay in an emergency zone, you'll get more penalyt points in every 5 or 10 seconds. The target is: go to the finish point (called "cel") with fewest penalty points. You receive some informations during your walk, but it's not important in this test. The cartridge on Wherigo.com: http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/details.a...0c-97c77df314bf The used features in this cartridge (very simple!): -on enter a zone: text message to the player, incrementing a variable, starting a timer, switch another zone visible true, activate an action button of an item. -on leave a zone: text message to the player, stoping a timer. -inventory: a short help description, and a point-book with some txt-info and a point checking button: a text message to the player with actual penalty points. ___GARMIN Oregon 300___ After I started the cartridge, the first text message appears. If I push "OK", the Oregon jumps to the Wherigo's main screen, then stops, then turns OFF. That's all. The cartridge is unusable on Oregon300. ___GARMIN Nuvi 550___ The cartridge is working on this device, but if I save the game, the Nuvi550 can't restart this from the saved file. The devices stops, the turns off. The second problem is: the Nuvi550 isn't a handheld device, the GPS receiver of this is unusabée for Wherigo gaming: very slow turning and movement detecting, and very-very less tracklog (see the gdb!). I walk on the good track, but the Nuvi always detects my position in the forbidden zones. The carctidge is running on Nuvi, but the device unusable for Wherigo (with small/precision zones). ___OpenWIG with Nokia E90___ The cartridge is running correctly, but the E90's receiver is a s***. It was a short test. And now see the tracks in the attache gdb file! I used a GPS60 (and an Oregon550 for controll, but itsn't in the file) for recording the right track. This log is precise, the two recorded logs (GPS60 and Oregon550) is on one way. OK. Today on the test the Oregon300's track is same (see the short portion in the gdb!), this device's receiver is usable for this game! But the Wherigo player isn't... On the Nuvi550's Wherigo player the cartridge running correctly, but the track of this device is a random thing: this device isn't usable for this process. My question to Garmin (and/or to Gorundsepak?): You have a very good receiver in the Oregon series. You have a working Wherigo player in the Nuvi550. Can you merge this things in one unit? I very hope, your answer is "YES", because the Wherigo is a nice idea, and we need to like it! (I'm a Garmin fun. I hope, I can play Wherigo cartridges with my Garmin devices, and I can leave my smartphone in deep of my bag... prisonisland_test.zip

Hi! I need some more help... After saving a cartridge (lua), I can't open it again. The builder displays an error message, but the file isn't opened. I have many zones in the cartridge, I don't need to rewrite it... Have you eny idea? The source is attached, with the _errormessage.jpg screenshot. (And what is this *.enc file?) I can't delete this author functions, because I nee to display the variable's value to the player in text messages. It's possible just with this "authors script hack"

Thx Guys! Ranger Fox: your sample is working. I understand this. But my isn't. See the atteched source! The short scenario (this is just a practice-cartdridge, near my shop): if the player enters into the forbidden zones, he'll get penalty points. I record it to variable "hiba". One enter to zona1 is one, to zona2 is two penalty points. After entering a zona the variable incremented with 1/5, it's OK. I need, if the player stays in a bad zone, he get more penapty points in every 5 seconds. After entering a zone I need to start a timer, and when timer ticks, increment the variable "hiba" with 1, then restart the timer to continuous opreation. When the player leaves the zone, stop the timer. It's my plan. Have you any idea? Thx! aknatest.zip

Hi! If I start a timer from a "start playing carctridge" action, is it OK, the timer is running correctly. But if I try to start this timer when the player enters to a zone, itsn't working. What is the problem? (Other actions (for example a txt message) are working properly in same zone's enter event.) Thx!
