  1. I often say something like "I've lost my keys" or, if the person seems to be positively interested, I try to explain geocaching at a very basic level.
  2. Sounds like the CO has deleted your logs and therefore only you can still read them. But if so, you would have received an email notification.
  3. There is no rule that would be against it - I've never seen it before, too. If the container is large enough, why not? Mezgrman
  4. GSAK & FindStatGen, mygeocachingprofile.com and so on... that's all I know.
  5. Ich kann dir nicht ganz folgen... vielleicht stellst du deine Frage auch mal hier Mezgrman
  6. OK, but at least on the printer friendly cache page one can hide the short and the long description seperately
  7. Hi! Don't give up - keep tryin'! Sooner or later you will find your first cache - maybe you could go out with a more experienced cacher and learn some tips and tricks... And YES, this game is real Best greetings from Germany, Mezgrman
  8. I think that Groundspeak's "Lost and Found" means something different... But I can't help you anyway. Sorry Mezgrman
  9. Since your no longer a premium member you can't edit the page even though it is your listing. Your going to need to contact a reviewer or send a message to contact@geocaching.com and ask for help. Now that's crazy... I always thought that one was able to do so.
  10. Hello! I think a dedicated GPS device would be better if you decide to become a "real" cacher - but it's enough for trying it out. That's all I can say - have fun and enjoy the game! Mezgrman
  11. Come on, admit that you wanted to steal it but then you got home and felt guilty.
  12. It's an indicator which shows you whether you have found the appropriate cache or not. Mezgrman
  13. I think one can look at the date the pictures were taken. I would ask the CO and if he says yes, go and log it. Mezgrman
  14. Now that's an unusual name for an App. My tip: delete it before TPTB get angry... Mezgrman
  15. Nevermind... my error, sorry, can't help you Mezgrman
  16. in the navigation area in the upper right corner is a link "enable listing". Click it
  17. Hi, I just created a new cache listing (Mystery), submitted it and got a message telling me I should add waypoints because it's a mystery cache. The link to the Waypoints site in the message is broken: It refers to http://www.geocaching.com/wptlist.aspx instead of http://www.geocaching.com/hide/wptlist.aspx and therefore results in a 404 Not Found error. (One can add waypoints via the link earlier on the page which is correct.) Mezgrman
  18. ...I looked out of the car and imagined caches at almost every tree in a forest near the road...
  19. My favorite for adding stats to your profile is www.Mygeocachingprofile.com. It is user friendly and gives tons of great stats. Much better than "it's not about the numbers" which I think is clumsy to use. And except that, it's down forever...

I did, but the forum won't update. It's true, click on the profile name, and he is Pinehurst. I suggest logging out of the forums and main website, then log back in again. I suggest clicking here Mezgrman sorry I'm now suspensed from posting for 3 days
  21. It's the difficulty and the terrain rating. Difficulty is how easy it is to find the cache (or to solve a riddle) and terrain, well, it's the terrain rating Mezgrman Edit: See here (look for "D/T")
  22. GSAK & FindStatGen I'm too lazy to write a guide now, just play with the program Mezgrman
  23. There is no Oregon 20. Maybe you mean the Dakota 20?
