  1. So welcome to the game! I recommend that you buy a "real" GPS device as the ones in cell phones are often quite bad. Of course there are many phones with GPS receivers, but I don't know enough to recommend you one. Greetings and happy caching, Mezgrman
  2. It seems that's not 100% true: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...db-4f0c4c2b4e8f Seems like it has been grandfathered - look at the date it was placed.
  3. One thing that bothers me: Won't such a high-tech device be muggled soon?!?
  4. +1. On my old GMX account the emails arrived a few HOURS later after one or two months - that's why I'm now using Gmail and it works GREAT!
  5. Go to your Geocaching profile, select "Your Account details" and click "change" in the top left box. Then enter your slogan in the "Forum title" textbox and click "Submit". Last, you have to click here for the changes to apply. (You won't see anything special when you click on the link, but it works )
  6. And what about the nanos? For babys? Get a Micro size. They can grow into it! Oh yes, I forgot... what about a "virtual" sized shirt? - - - OT END - - -
  7. And what about the nanos? For babys?
  8. Maybe folks should simply scroll down the page before posting a thread like "wher can i downlaod th efinds querie?????" I think it's easy enough to find that box - no need to change it.
  9. There is an easy way to do this: just go to the cache page (you won't see much of the cache), and replace the "cache_details.aspx" in the adress bar with "log.aspx". Now you can log the cache. And don't worry, this is "legal"
  10. Poor mods... they get each report 10 times because the users don't know that it works though it times out...
  11. All I can say is that it is probably not a glitch - I don't have that problem. It sometimes happens that I get double notifications, but that's because some caches are on my watchlist and a log is entered which causes a notification to be sent out
  12. Yes, when the status of a cache changes, there will be an enable (or disable) log. When the cache is on your watchlist, you will be notified.
  13. Another forum error... Do you mean the number of PQs that can run every day or the number of caches in a PQ? I think that's because Groundspeak wouldn't appreciate someone having a complete copy of their database
  14. knowschad, you took the words right of my mouth...
  15. No, you can't use more than one filter, but GSAK can do this. For the maps thing, there is a very useful Greasemonkey script - "GC Google Maps Enhancements".
  16. Look here, on the right side of the page there are various documents...
  17. Could we get this pinned? Especially for newbies, but also for the "older" posters this is a good guide!
  18. They still don't work... Firefox 3.6.8 on Win7 with GM 0.8.20100408.6 (Yes, I have tried deactivating other scripts, but it doesn't even work alone!)
  19. I think they're switching the monitoring of bugs, problems and ideas about the site slowly to the feedback site, but the forums are still the place for regular discussions.
