I have a 60cs and mapsource . i downloaded nroute. I can only get straight line navigation. No turns at all. what am i doing wrong????
drone
nRoute is not used on the GPSr, nRoute is used for navigation using your laptop & a GPSr hooked up to it, nRoute & City Select come w/the GPS18 which is a hockey puck shaped GPSr that connects to your laptop. MS City Select is what is used to download maps into you 60CS.

3) The pre-event dinner was scheduled to be at Mickey O'Reilley's Sports Bar, but xy,xx,xy,xy,xy,xy says it's been shut down. Any other suggestions?
4) The post-event dinner is now tentatively scheduled at a tiny Red Robin, which is unlikely to be able to seat all of us. Any other suggestions? (Help, Robinego! )
Basically we need 2 nights for meals right? Approximate numbers for Friday and Saturday night are needed. I've been watching the cache page and counting, but I have no idea for what night. Maybe if everyone responds here and lets me know or even e-mails me, I could firm up that number. Also, are there children involved?
I've been giving the town a few go rounds. Mexican seems to be the front runner only because these seem to have the room. I have one place (El Abuelo...the grandfather) that has an upstairs room that can seat up to 100 people. We would have our own server and a buffet style serving of 3 items, chicken, beef and seafood, along with the standard sides. Approximate cost per person, $12.50, libations not included. The food is good (tested it myself the other night) and the owner is anxious to have us.
I also have a line on Garlini's which is an Italian restaurant and a local favorite for the other night.
Let me know what you all think. I can also talk to the Red Robin manager (who needs to make up to me big time for the stinging letter I wrote to corporate about him and his staff). Improvements have been made, but I have no compunction to point out that I have my eye on them. (once a waitress always a waitress).
Travis, you've done a huge amount of work on this so I don't want you to stress over the mundane. Consider the meals taken care of. -R-
Isn't there a Kings Table buffett style restaraunt just off Hwy 2 as you are coming into Wenatchee? Probably not the most classy place in town but those type of places usually have a banquet room that can handle good sized groups.
FYI,
2 for sure Saturday night but not sure about Friday. We are staying w/ friends and they may want to do something Friday.

We also got the La Quinta at $62 per night. Now I just have to find a new cheap dial up internet service. Any suggestions?
nocharge.com, but I'm not sure if they have local numbers in Wenatchee.

ok...
I'd be interested then, though the topo is opened, would that matter to you?
I think its v3.02, but would have to get the case out and check.

Yipee,
I have been looking forward to doing this since I first heard rumors about it a few months ago.
Last years ride was before my introduction to Geocaching.

Friday the 11th we meet at the parking coords for EGH's GCMGE9 at 6:45
Saturday the 12th after the WSGA meeting, possible dinner and then 2 other night caches (I am not sure if they have been decided or if it will be play it by ear).
Sounds good- meeting tonight @6:45 at the parking coords for EGH!'s night cache. What time do you all want to meet for dinner and where next Saturday?
I'm so confused. Is it tonight or the 11th?

Still has both unlocks. The software has never even been opened.

can you explain what a 'fresh copy of garmin's topo USA' means?
Im guessing you mean you want the newest version?? (which is what?)
Yes, I am looking for the latest version of TOPO USA and as I stated above I would like original disks not copies.
Looking at Garmin's web site I am not sure that there has been more than one release of TOPO USA.
When I originally posted, "fresh" was intended to mean still had it's device licenses so that I could download the maps onto my GPS'r. I have since discovered that TOPO USA does not require device licenses/unlock codes and can be downloaded to as many GPSr's (devices) as you want.

Just to clarify I have an unopened v5 of Mapsource City Select and a v6 upgrade disk and am looking to trade original disks for original disks, not copies.

GPSMAP 60C/S - 76C/S - COLOR ETREXES - TIDE STATION PREDICTIONS
No, you do not need MapSource BLUE CHART maps for this either. You will need MapSource installed on your computer though. It only takes less than one MB for the entire U.S.
On the 60CS the tide tables are already in the unit straight from the factory. If you download maps from mapsource the tide stations get purged.
To find out how to get the tide stations back

I have room for two extra people in the Land Rover for anyone that needs/wants a ride on Saturday.

Count me in if in fact this is done on a Friday or Saturday night. Will bring my WSP background report.

I have an unopened copy of Garmin's Mapsource 5.0, 6.0 upgrade CD on it's way. I would like to trade this for fresh copy of Garmin's TOPO USA.
This was received with a Auto Nav kit and I already have Mapsource 6.0 so I don't need the software that came with the kit but would like a copy of TOPO.

When I first got my 60CS there was a feture that allowed me to look up tide tables from the marine database POI's. Once I downloaded mapsource this feature went away. This seems dumb to me but that's just me.
Does anyone know if/where the marine database POI's can be found on the Garmin site so that I can reinstall it?
I would assume that if this is possibel I will probably loose all the mapsource features but at least then I would have the option of using one or the other depending on what I needed.
Here's the link.
http://www.garmin.com/software/Recommended...desSoftware.exe
When you install it it will be added to the mapset list in Mapsource as GPSMAP 162/168 Tide Points. From there just select the area you want the tidepoints for just like selecting any other map sections and then upload your whole mapset including your roads and any other maps you want at the same time.
Worked like a charm.
Thanks

I am failrly sure I remember that if you took the Princess Marguerite you would spend the night away, but you could go to Victoria and back in the same day on the Princess Pat.
We took the Princess Marguerite to Victiory for our 6th grade class trip back in 1975. The ship went up and back on the same day but don't remember stopping in Vancouver but who knows maybe we did and was just too uninterested to know it. I do remember that the Princess Marguerite did have state rooms, maybe people rode down from Victoria and spent the night in Seattle??.
FYI:
I also remember that on the way up we spent most of the trip playing this brand new video game called PONG.
This would have been back in the 50s. By the time you went to Victoria on the Princess Marguerite the Princess Patricia had been retired.
50's ????????? Waaay before my time

I said it already but I'll say it again 2 adults & a tent trailer.
