I had a great time. Thanks everyone for putting up with the Fat Slow Guy.

The buttons on my 15 month old 60CS are wearing down also so I called Garmin earlier this week to find out what it would cost to have them replaced and they told me that they would cover under warranty. I will be sending it back on Monday, caching to do this weekend don't you know. I don't care whether they just fix it or send a replacement, either way their CUSTOMER SERVICE is the best.

The bouncing problem probably has something to do with that new 60Cx that he got.

Are slow pokes allowed? If so I'm in.

Last year the road to Mountain Marsh did not open until sometime in May and remember last year there was very little snow, who knows when it will open this year.

I have never double logged a cache or an event. We have a local monthly Meet & Greet event that will move form place to place. The event is still using the same cache listing and just gets updated with the new details every month and although I have attended 4/6 meeting I have only logged an attended oncem I have posted a note the other three time. Using the I found it a second time 50 feet from the caches original location I would get to log one of my own caches. Apparently a new cacher thought that my cache was too easy to find so they decided it needed a better hiding place, without logging the new coordinates or giving any idea he had hid it. I went to do a maint. run on the cache and couldn't find it so I disabled the cache. I later went back to look one more time and found the cache about 50' away from where I had originally hid the cache.

Leave the DNF Log, it's part of your history. It can also be fun to go back once in a while to read those old DNF logs and wonder how you could have missed the cache.

I am having trouble getting more than one Past log to appear in Cachemate. When doing the GSAK export I have it set to 5 logs but was only getting one, so I upped it to 10 and I still only get 1 past log exported. Any Ideas?? nevermind i just figured it out

I have found that once your out in the rain it's not that bad, the worst part is once you get back into the car and stop moving and have time to think about how wet you are. brrrr! Kind of like sking, so long as your moving everything is great, but it sure does get cold sitting on the lift. Of course we all got pretty spoiled last winter with the lack of rain and snow.

You refernece GCPWJK. Take a look at all the logs concerning this cache. The hider hid this cache before he had any finds, and as he noted on the cache page he has not been back since he hid the cache in July, the coordinates are more than 100' off and he still has not updated them. Also make sure that the spot you want to hide is far enough away from GCJNXH. One suggestion is to place the cache, mark the coordinates, go away for a while then try to find the cache again using your GPS, if it gets you within a few feet your coordinates are probably pretty good. If you need a hand just e-mail me and I will be more than happy to give you a hand.

I don't know how she did it but Prying Pandora managed to call while I was at the top signing the log. Thanks to andrewrj & Poodleranch for sharing this milestone with me. Look Ma no hands

I wanted to buy an additional unlock code a while back but he guy at Garmin said they don't sell additional licenses. I ended up buying a CS with the auto nav kit, it was cheaper at the time than just buying the software alone.

That would be a GSAK issue. GSAK Support Forum I think it's a known issue and Clyde has either a work-around or a fix available, but check the GSAK Forum. At the suggenstion of Clyde I opened up the WPT file. I opened it using Map Source and the WP codes are indeed as I reported earlier, so this in not a GSAK problem as suggested.
-
I downloaded my PQ's this morning to GSAK and the WPT codes for GCM3RB had absolutly no relation to the cache itself. All of the codes were xxMD18. When I downloaded the gpx file straight from the cache all of the WPT codes were xxM3RB. Any ideas why this is?

Just tell the guy that you block the tracking signal by always wearing your tin foil hat.

$44.25*2 +agency fees ~$8.00 for the TNLNSL $12.00 + agency fee to replace the TNLNSL plate to the initial holder. So total fees would be ~ $125

Personal plates are transferable but here's the catch. Someone would have to get the plates and register them to a car, you can't just get/reserve plates for future use. They could then be raffled, auctioned or whatever and the plates could then be transfered to winner.
-
I will check on this. We own a vehicle licensing agency, although the wife is the one that runs show so I will check with here to see if personal plates are transferable.

If my count is correct it was 103 for the weekend, I have yet to start logging any, which puts me at 980. Any suggestions for #1000? Well if you got a snorkle on that thing how about this one. We headed up the Middle Fork in early December but we got caught behind some J@ck a** in a Toyota Camery that kept getting stuck in the snow and we finally ran out of time and had to turn back. We will eventaully get it.
