  3. On the Monday after GCF I reached into the pouch on the back of my wheelchair for my notebook and found a Close Encounters coin ... wow, wow, wow!

I couldn't believe it, I'd had a close encounter and not even realised it!

I'd previously received one of these coins by mail, so (I hope it's ok) I passed the Close Encounter coin to Steve, aka Windsockers who had travelled to GCF from Ireland and had never seen one of these beauties before.

Steve had been very gallant in taking Kaz, Coco and I geocaching in his hired car, which meant we got so many more caches than we otherwise would have done.

Thank you to the mystery giver for sharing this kindness with us. :P

Yes indeed my first ever mystery coin has now come back to Ireland with me.

    Thanks whoever you are :D:D:D:D

  4. I think by 2012 the South East would be well due a Mega, and the Olympics would make it timely.

However like others I'm no big fan of the capital. There are some lovely spots just outside that I think could be great for a Mega, but I probably won't come if it was central.

I also love the idea of a Irish Mega and would definately like go if anyone organised one (transport and work permitting). I enjoyed caching in Dublin earlier in the year. It would be really easy to fly over then backpack......I see a plan forming already!

At the moment we're running one mega a year in the UK and Ireland, I'm sure by 2012 we will be able to support two such events.... :o

Don't think there's enough numbers for a mega in Ireland maybe in ten years or so :P

As for back packing I've a few winter camping ones in the pipe line ;)

Swine air are having sales all the time :anicute:

  5. Have a look at this one I found recently :D

Looks like there's a bit of a story behind that one... Care to tell us more? Like, where did you find it? :D

That one and a few others that can be seen at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...13-5ca469728064

They were given to me by a retired cacher who likes to rescue missing tbs and get them moving.

(he of course wishs to remain to remain anonymous):D:):)

  6. All Groundspeak servers have been moved and all services have been restored. If you notice anything strange with the sites, please let us know.

Thanks for your patience during this maintenance window.

How about increasing the numbers of PQs as well, and also allow 10 PQs ran each day?

Or increasing the maximum number of caches in a PQ.

I'd be so happy if my pq's would run at all.

    no auto pq's since santa's visit :o

and no replies to plea's for help either
