Ok so i just bought a garmin etrex vista hcx and it came with Mapsource setup and map data DVD TOPO U.S. 2008. ive donwnloaded all the mac programs off of the garmin website and still cant figure out how to get the maps on the gps......so any mac users with this or similar models know how this is accomplised?

yes i plan to use it with my iphone still....and probably wont be useing it for routing in the car much.

Hello ive been looking at the delorme pn40 the oregon300, dakota10 and the vista hcx. i use my iphone to cache at the moment and like it alot. but also want something a lil more reliable that will work well together. im also a mac owner.....which of the before mentioned models would work best for someone with a mac and who also uses there iphone alot to cache? with all the recent sales im able to find all 4 models locally for about the same price so im not sure which one to pick....going to go look more tomorrow....any help would be wonderful thanks....

thanks for the replys everyone.... yeah i guess i wouldnt have to worry about the paperless cos i do love the iphone app i just want something for when the cell phone doesnt have reception.... or im haveing a hard time finding the cache with the iphone app....it works great most of the time but not always...... i was checking into the delorme but wasnt sure how well they connected into the mac..... oh and as far as price range goes.....cheaper the better atm.....business is slow in the winter. guess ill check on those and some of the garmins thanks again leaning towards the garmin etrex vista hcx i think

hello im new to geocaching and have been doing so on my iphone which works well but im wanting to get a starter gps.... what im wanting is something that i can do paperless with and something that works well with a mac.......any suggestion on something relatively cheap for a begginer? thanks for any help
