I can't tell the brand anymore on mine but the drivers are from Prolific http://www.prolific.com.tw/ The website says they won't provide vista drivers on their site and you need to get them from vendor... So that won't help you too much...

As fratermus said. You need the drivers for the Serial-usb adapter you bought. I've bought a couple of these over the years. They've all required the drivers that ship with the adapter to get them working. I'd recommended checking with the vendor you bought it from for drivers for Vista

This is really bad news for me. I use Mobipocket all the time with my BlackBerry. So not having that will really put a crimp in my caching... I'm planning a camping trip this weekend and plan to cache quite a bit. Having my PQs in my BB with the mobipocket reader is fantastic. Any ideas on alternatives would be great.
