My question as well. If a 5 stop ALC gets you 1600 points then I would get 2225 points for a 10 stop ALC?

Thanks! So 50 points for one ALC and since a lot of them have bonuses caches associated with them in which most have over 10 favorite points you can potentially get 59 points! Just seems to easy!! Wonder if they are finally gonna subsume ALC's into the app?

Just picked up one today that's been lost for 13 years. I also checked into purchasing one today as its a fantastic idea but got timed out waiting for the website to load. The link on the trackable page to find out about the fallen hero brings you to the Washington Post as well. At least the coin honoring Pfc. I guess I’m just curious why they would make a 10+ favorited cache 15 pts since the maximum for any cache is 15pts. It adds only 10 pts to a traditional, 5 pts to a multi and adds nothing to a mystery or earth. No cache would get the entire 15 pts.

So if there is a 15 pt maximum for any cache what happens when you log a traditional with at least 10 favorite pts? Wouldn’t you get 20 pts? 5 for the cache and 15 for the favorite pts?

It really stinks when you take the time to solve puzzles and make a plan so you can get to 500 pts (which isn’t easy with 6” of snow on the ground ) only to be shorted points and not be awarded the souvenirs you earned. Disappointing

The souvenirs will be retroactive; Great! I was shorted 10 points; will those be retroactive as well?

The scoring for the new promotion starts today so the caches you found last week won’t count toward your point total

Still wrong for me as well. Planning on grabbing some mystery caches tomorrow but I am apprehensive about logging them until the problem is fixed.

Same here! Logged 2 mystery caches and one had 10 favorites. Only received 20 pts and did not get the souvenirs.

This will be my last post on this forum. The only reason I put a "throwdown" at this spot was because of the unique features this area has to offer. If it was on a guard rail I would not have replaced it. It was Not because I couldn't find it was because it is not there to be found. There has been DNF's logged for over a year and NA logged as well. I just wanted caches who are visiting the area to see the uniques features nearby which is why this cache was placed here in the first place. I have no problems logging DNF's if I can't find a cache; I don't just throwdown another container if I can't find the cache. That would be ridiculous. I feel like some of you just think I wanted a smiley so I just threw down a container and logged it as found. That's not true. Maybe I should have just wrote a note instead of a found it log. For that I didn't use good judgement but who are we to judge anyway. All I wanted to do is bring some cachers and their families to the area to see the unique features this cache was originally placed for. That's it! Hopefully the "proper" people will take care of it because cachers coming to the area are going to skip this cache because it appears to be missing and miss out on some very unique stuff. I will once again apologize to every one.

Fyi: I also removed the throwdown so everybody can relax now.

Wow! First I ask a question about logging an earth cache but I asked it on the wrong thread. I apologize for going off topic and tried to start a new thread. I used the word etiquette and that was the wrong word to use. Again I am sorry. Now I'm on vacation with my family and replace a missing cache that's in a really cool spot that my kids loved. All I wanted to do was bring other people here and hoped they enjoyed the spot as much as me and my kids did. That's it! Now you guys basically crucify me for trying to do what I thought was a good thing. It was not my intention to be malicious to the reviewer or the co. I have the utmost respect for any of the reviewers as they are all volunteers. I deleted my log from the cache in question and you will never see another post from me again on this forum again. I'm truly sorry for any and all the controversy I may have caused. I wish you all the best. God bless

Mine made it to an event as well. We are supposed to get a badge for our profile not a souvenir. Wonder when that will Happen
