  1. Thanks to everyone for the quick responses and great suggestions/tips!
  2. I recently picked up a Garmin GPSMAP 62stc at an amazing price. I already have a DeLorme Earthmate PN-60 that I really like. My only complaints about the DeLomre are the size of the screen and lack of direct support for GPX files. That aside, the included computer mapping software, integration w/ Geocaching.com, Meunus, ease of use, screen brightness and ability to turn ON and OFF (Open and Close) Geocaching files is far superior to my new Garmin. I know the GPSMAP 62 series support up to 2000 GPX files, but is there a way to turn OFF a GPX file from the unit itself -- w/o connecting it to a computer and deleting the GPX file. There are times I'd like to use the map and not see the Geocaches. Thanks in advance.
  3. Somehow I missed this one. Do you happen to have any of the TITANIC or FIREMAN GCs left. If so, will send email and payment immediately
  4. What a beautiful tribute!! The coins are so fitting and are absolutely remarkable! I'm sure Mike is smiling down from above. Please count me in for 3 sets, if still available.
  5. Got a chuckle out of the location of the photo! Vote is in!!
  6. Thanks, All. I googled this topic and have not had a whole lot of luck finding an easy way to accomplish this. I was thinking about reaching out to TotemLake. I've had the pleasure of meeting him and running into him several times.
  7. I recently picked up a new Delorme PN-60 to replace/supplement my iPhone's GPS capability. I tried a couple of Garmins (60CSX & Oregon 450) and Lowrance Sierras before picking up the PN-60. Still haven't found anything I like as well as the GC app on the iPhone, but it's GPS is quite inferior. I'd really like to be able to add Jon's NorthWest Trails collection to the PN-60. Is this even possilbe? TIA, -Rob
  8. Just picked up a new Delorme PN-60 today. Was out caching in Alaska earlier this week w/ a local cacher who had recently purchased one. I wanted to find something to supplement my iPhone 3GS and 'paperless caching' is a must. I tried the new Lowrance Sierra; it's nice, but just isn't ready for prime time. I was looking at the new Garmin GPSMAP 62 series as the Garmin & Lowrance Endura lines seem to accept GC Pocket Queries w/o the need for modification. However, there seems to be quite a bit of discussion about the varied level of support for PQ's by the Delorme line. My friend mentioned she found a way just this week to trick GSAK into treating the PN-60 like a PN-40. Anyone have experience yet w/ PQ's -- native or GSAK modified -- and the PN-60? Would appreciate any suggestions. Thx.
  9. Nice idea! I vote for the larger 1.5" coin. I'd buy a set.
  10. I've had the same issue. I joined at the first of the year. Never received a single coin. They kept trying to deduct my credit card after I changed cards. Got an email today that they were cancelling my subscription.
  11. Very nice coin!! I'm actually new to caching and coin collecting. My son got me started in geocaching around the holidays late last fall. How does one get added to this "list"? Thanks.
  12. I, too, am new to geocaching. My son got me started shortly before the end of last year. I've had the opportunity and priviledge to meet some very wonderful people. How does one get added to the user address book? Thx -R
  13. I'm almost embarrassed to respond. My son got me started into geocaching just this past Sept, shortly after he went to work for Groundspeak. I found a couple of coins in some caches and got hooked, big time! I've purchased way too many coins over the past 6 months -- some from Avroair who started this topic. I had the pleasure of meeting Avroair, not too long ago (as I'm sure some of the others on this thread have). He's designed some amazing coins. The variety, creativeness and beauty of geocoins makes collecting them quite addictive!
  14. Looking for 'Celtic Tree of Life' coins. I've just started collecting geocoins and recently picked up a few coins from this series. They're probably one of the most beautiful coins ever minted, in my opinion. I'm very interested in adding the following to my collection: - Blue on 2-tone Silver & Gold - Blue on Silver - Green on 2-Tone - Red on 2-Tone - Antique Silver - Black Nickel If anyone is interested in parting with any of these, I'd be interested in discussing this further. Thank you.
  15. Totally agree! I ordered 10 initially and sure glad I did!
  16. Actually just got off the phone w/ Amy at Oakcoins/Geoswag.com. She was very helpful and said my orders were being shipped tomorrow.
  17. I agree!! In my opinion, these are some of the most beautiful coins I've seen. Thanks for making these available!
  18. Since I'm a retired copy, I'm definitely interested!
