  1. Add me to the list of frustrated map issues. I rely very heavily on the maps to plan my geocaching day. I get just the top 2 inches. Any help?????
  2. Last time I updated the communicator plug-in from 3.0 to 4.0 for my Oregon 450 and Dakota 20, the caches wouldn't download to the garmins. The computer indicated the caches were downloaded but nothing was there. I had to go to the apple store where they were able to revert back to the communicator plug-in version 3.0. (They got information from this site which was very helpful for them) I now have a Montana 650 and even trying to register it I have to upgrade the communicator plug-in to 4.0 I also want to add City Navigator but can't unless I upgrade the plug-in. I have Safari 6.0.2 Any suggestions on whether this will work with ALL of the gamins??? Thanks
  3. I had the same problem this week with the Oregon 450 and the Dakota 20. Apparently I downloaded an updated version and that messed everything up. I reverted back to the v3.0.1 (or the gentlemen at the apple store did that for me) -and I can download again. See Coggins reply above -that's what we used.
  4. Going back to v3.0.1 was successful -the Apple employees are very grateful for this suggestion!!!!! Now the only problem I have -although VERY minor - is my avatar picture won't show, but at least I can download my caches. Thank you!!!!
  5. YES!!! and I just tried downloading from a neighbor's computer and was successful!!!!!!! Had to revert to the 3.0 version to get the downloads. Someone else had problems with this and it worked for them, also.

  7. Downloaded from the computer right to the garmin -everything's been okay for 2 years. Downloading how - describe the process. I hook the gamins to the computer. On the cache page I click on where it says "send to GPS". It's still saying it was successfully downloaded, but there's nothing on the garmin. how far away are these caches? There is nothing in the Garmin\GPX folder? The caches are within a 50 mile radius of my home. Previously I've been able to download caches in farther area -Rhode Island, Connecticut or New York before leaving the NH area. In fact, I just did that 2 weeks ago and everything as fine.

  9. Thanks for your suggestion -I did empty all the GPX files but the gamins but they still won't accept new caches. Since both gamins went out at the same time we thought it was a Geocaching.com issue -or a satellite issue. Guess not.

  11. Oregon 450 and Dakota 20 went blank on 3/13/12. Garmins will no longer accept caches. The Dakota listed about 100 found caches as " new" caches. None of the downloaded caches were on the gamins, even though it stated the caches were successfully downloaded. The Oregon lost everything. Now both gamins read, "No Geocaches Found." tried repeatedly to download to GPS from cache page - no luck with either garmin.
