Does anyone know the details about the possible locations that were posted as virtual caches? I personally had a possible location pop up near my home that I went and checked out. Of course there was not one there, but I'm just curious where these "possible locations" came from. Did DARPA give a bunch of possible locations to check, or were most of these bogus sightings that Groundspeak just sent us out to verify? Just curious.

I too am still really hoping to see an official Geocaching app for Android. I personally have both an HTC hero with GeoBeagle, and an iPhone with the Geocaching app. The iPhone software is nice but could be so much more powerful if available for the Android phones. I've found that the GPS on my Hero is significantly more accurate than the iPhone, plus the android has a built in compass that is very useful. Pair that with a platform that's not policed by the Nazis at Apple and the sky is the limit.

I would love to see a good GC app for the Android platform. I just recently purchased the new HTC Hero from Sprint, and this phone is amazing! I also have an iPhone 3G for my small business. It's a nice phone, but isn't half as great as everyone would like you to believe. From first impressions of the Hero, and Android I think Apple may be in for a rude awakening. Come on Groundspeak...Help us out. With carriers like Sprint, AT&T, and now Verizon offering Android phones it would be foolish to miss out this opportunity.
