  1. Thanks for all the responces. I picked up the dropped cache when I was there to check on the original. I have just emailed the cache "finder" and asked them to change the log. Will wait and see what happens.
  2. I recently had someone drop a new container and claimed a find on one of my caches. I checked and the cache was exactly where it should be. I donot think that it is right nor fair to other cachers that actually look for and find a cache before they claim it as a find. I was wondering if I could remove the find and replace it with a dnf and if so; how do I go about it?
  3. Last Christmas I bought two Garmin 60CSX's,one as a gift and one for myself, I now have three GPSr's and an Android phone that I use. If I had to get rid of all but one, I would keep the 60CSX. Don't worry about it being discontinued, it is a great unit.
  4. I think that if the reviewers start checking maps to see if the cache is on private property LPCs will be a thing of the past. All LPCs in my area are on private property and I would be willing to bet anything that none have permission to be there. On this particular cache, I think it should be archived, anyone that has worked around wires knows that the insulation is going to crack eventually and if you touch that while touching the pole, the lamp is not the only thing that is going to be lit up.
  5. I remember seeing a quote here in the forums that basically said that if "stealth is required" then it is a terrible place to have a cache. I tend to agree with this. There is a micro cache nearby that is on one of the busiest intersections in the city and " stealth is required".This is one that made the ignore list for me.
  6. I had tried both ways before I posted the question. Thanks for the help, I just wanted to post "3900 finds" to honor a local cacher at the bottom of my cache page since it was the cache that he achieved this milestone. Thanks again for the help, I have been able to accomplish what I wanted.
  7. Thank you, I had not thought of that. I will see what info I can find
  8. Does anyone know the HTML code to have a word blink on and off on a cache page? I checked the "knowledge books" with no success. I have tried <blink><blink/> and that didn't work. maybe it can't happen on a cache page?
  9. You know that I'm not the only one that's going to do something similar to this dontcha
  10. Great cache, I'm sure the idea is going to be borrowed by others
  11. just put a little "Goo Gone" on a paper towel and rub it on the buttons. The stuff works wonders
  12. I'm in the same boat as Chokecherry but still happy to try it
  13. I would look at an area outside of a dog park like it was thrown over the fence, rolled under a bush and forgotten about.just the first thing that came to mind.
  14. gear oil is not a good idea. it will eat away at the gasket material.you could get a can of spray silicone and use that on the seal and then spray a little on the door seals and window felts on your car while you're at it.
  15. If it's a nice gentle rain I go for it but if it's raining so hard that I have a problem seeing I stay home watch the tube or work on a cache container
  16. I have one that I placed a week ago. Find the four eggs to find the cache
  17. http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/htmlcodes.html copy and paste this address, will fix you right up
  18. I have placed and hunted caches on TC.There are no cross listings and no lamp post hides that I have ever seen
  19. That is the kind of log requested on the cache page. I stand corrected. this is obviously a male comedien. This has got to be the funniest log that I have ever read
  20. Without knowing anything of the person, strictly from the online logs alone, I'd guess the person is probably male and a teenager. I wonder if that is accurate, or I should hang on to my daytime job and not apply to be a profiler. Probably the latter Hope he knows what to do with the geocoin by now. Exactly what I was thinking. Very immature and almost apathetic. I would wager he gets bored before the 4th of July and moves on to awkward conversations with girls. I don't know any males teenage or not that use the word "jerk". My wife uses it and ladies (67) that I work with use it and before you ask no they are not taljking about me when they use it
  21. I like a nice set of cans, cammoed or not
