  1. I had the oregone 400t for about a day now. i put the city nav nt on it from dvd. love it love it. it is a bit dim in the sun but it is visible and thats all i need. to be able to get to the area i want to go. so many cool things. i love the profiles like when i go to auto now it cahnges to the city nav maps and magically turns into my nuvi 265t without voice and traffic thats really cool in the car.i'm going out caching today i'm gonna get a bunch. i hope to get at least 5 today. again thanks for everyones help. this seams like a great community of people. i'm glad i joined up.
  2. the fist cache we did i was still a basic member. we took a few small things and put some major ragor thigs back they were 3 action figures probably alt least 3 4 bucks a piece. so i dont think ill be a problem i fell good putting better in. (it's better to give than recieve). I can't wait to find one of thoes big finds. like the big walmat storage bins or the 55 gallon drums. that will be amazing. will have to bring someting cool and large for thoes. i really like the find in this sport it's vary cool hunting it down with the family then you hear "i found it". relief and excitement is felt as everyone rushes to see whats inside.
  3. I wouldnt do that we would only be going for a pm if i was going. i would not feel right if she went alone without a pm account. alone she would have to stick to basic ones in my book.
  4. Thank you for all the help my handhled should be ariving friday sometime (Oregon 400t) w/ a city nav nt dvd coming today to be put on it! then it off to the game! there is one somewhere near some military equipment (micro). we pased it so many times because my sons favorite park it right down the street. i would of never realised in my lifeting someting was hidden there. i'm so glad i got a garmin gps for my car with led me to their site for update and such to find out about this asome game of adventure and beautiful scenery and good times. i wish i had known about this 10 years ago!

  8. If my wife decides she does not want her own account can i still go find the pm cashe with my family? also if we go to a cash can we take 3 things and each put 1 thing in or is it better to just take turns and do 1 thing in each cashe. i'm trying to learn all i can so i do thing the correct way.
  9. I am going to be geocahing with my wife and son. i am giong to get a premium membership to geocaching.com. If we really get into this big time which i kinda know we are because it is amazing. I will probably be getting my wife some kind of gps device so i'm not constantly handing it over for her to see where we are in conjuntion to the cache. my son is only 3 now but mabe in a few years he will get one too. Anyway i was wondering how the premium caches work am i alowed to go with them or is it limited to myself being a premium member(does she and my son have to have a premium mebership to go on a premium cashe with me ). also if my wife would make a regular basic account would she be able to post her thought on the casche's we find on her own profile as found. also once she has a gps she may go alone or with friends wile i'm at work. as lone as when she is by herself she can do the non premium ones. i just want to do the right thing here! thanks in advance for the help!
  10. I decided to get the oregon 400t 10% discount at walmart my wife works there. and just ordered the city navigator dvd so when i order the gps on thursday overnight ill be ready to put that on it. also gonna get a 2gb micro sd card for maps and stuff. can't wait to use a real handheld and leave the nuvi to do the car work. i was alway scareed of that one slipping out of my hands on a search. gonna pick up a waterproof overboard backpack as well for the camera and supplies. thanks for eeryones help i'm sure i'll need some more especially on the gsac and loading of maps to the gps. thanks again!!
  11. If i would get the 60csx can you get the topo maps that come on the colorado/oregon. will it look that good on the 60's screen. ie.http://opiniones.terra.es/tmp/swotti/cacheZ2FYBWLUIGNVBG9YYWRVIDQWMHQ=VGVJAG5VBG9NES1HUFM=/imggarmin%20colorado%20400t1.jpg if i can get that on the 60csx i might concider that one.
  12. with the steet nav software on either. also which way is the best to go for the street nav. sd card or cd/dvd. I like both units and each seems to have their high points. The touch screen of the oregon seams great for entering things but i worry a bit on the brightness issue as i might use it on a bike sometime. the colorado seem great as well but i herd it takes some time to type stuff in. I have been reading post and reviews netwide for a week now and am buying on thursday. we have been using my nuvi 265t for this week and found 2 caches. i'm already addiced and see myself going all over the place to find them and see these sites and wonderful placees on this earth. Any way any help on either which to buy or ich street nav to by sd of cd would be greatly appreciated. mabe i'll see some of you out there in the field or city in my serches. thanks Inferno Nine!
