  1. My coins were given without restrictions, for the enjoyment of the recipients...it was and remains my intent, that the owners may keep the coin, sell the coin, or cut it in half to see the inside of the coin. I am very pleased to see one of them being used for this cause.

  2. I hope it is ok to post more than once:

I love the Imagine Peace coin too (see post from Drneal) and in fact this is my top sought after coin but with this post I would like to show a coin which is for sure one of my absolute favorite coins (if not the number one!!!!): the Carpe Diem Mystery Coin! I was honored to receive one of these coins and I love the powerful symbolism in it.

  3. Please consider putting the coin aside for now...you have enough to deal with at this time, it would never be my wish that this be an added burden for you. When the time comes, you'll know exactly the right thing to do with it !

  5. The coins I have gifted are just that...gifts. I've enjoyed seeing a few gifted from one geocoin forum member to another, and even gifted for someone's instructor. There is a time, however, when these gifts can serve their owners better, in these days of economic uncertainty. Be aware that these coins were sent as a gift from the heart, and if selling them to collectors or on ebay makes your life easier, then you honor me by doing just that. You may always feel free to post the front or the back of the coin...cut them in half and show the middle if you like.

There is a common thread to those that have received this coin, particuarly the first 70 or so. The marking on the lower left side of the reverse side of the coin does indeed have meaning.

My thanks for all the kind comments that have been made concerning this coin.

  6. Hi Everyone, I am searching for Sweetlife Geocoins, our geocoin is only ever been traded and never been sold. I am looking to trade for our geocoins back as reason being I like to sell my geocoins on ebay to help raise money for my mother. My mom is been diagnosed with cervical cancer and had went thru 2 major surgeries since being diagnosed in October and has alot of medical bills that have accumulated. Mom will be starting treatment for radiation and Chemo every day for a full month for the cervical cancer. Yesterday mom was told again some very bad news again. After having more tests done she is been diagnosed now with Breast Cancer. It is been so hard to focus with this Horrible News. It is been a very very sad times. I love my mom and would do anything to help raise money for her toward her medical bills to help ease the stress of all the medical bills. It is so hard when she is all worried about bills and not know how she is going to pay for them without any medical insurance. I tell my mom I am here for her and be strong. So if anyone has any sweetlife Geocoins and like to help donate them to us or trade for them for another geocoin, please feel free to contact us.

Thank You For everything~Have a great day.

My best wishes for your mother, and your family. Please accept one of my coins for her...so there are no misunderstandings, it is my wish this coin be sold or used in any way that most helps. I hoped to find a special use for coin #100...I can think of no better use than this!

  10. It took me a long time to understand what a mystery coin is. The more coins I am collecting the more I wish to find or to "earn" one (if that is the right word for it). But I am patient and maybe I am lucky enough to finally have one of them in my hands. I don't know what you have to do or not to do but I know one thing:

Coiners are a very special nice group of people. I have read so many stories about the generosity and the warm-heartedness of these people and I am glad that I have also experienced some of this spirit already. Where else in this often only business driven world can you find for example people who just give coins to others they have never met before as a present, who trade very limited coins for regular other ones. The Mystery Coin thing is another piece of that big spirit. In the German Coin Forum for instance there was one coiner who had problems to get the money for the surgery for the very ill geodog. In a very short time about 170 coins (some of them were very limited ones) were donated and over 3000 Euros had been collected by selling lots isnt that fantastic. I am pretty sure that the same thing would happen in this forum.

I dont know at what time you can call yourself a fully accepted proud member of that group. A long time I thought it is the time when you get your first mystery coin but right now I think it is up to anyone self.

Sorry for that big prolog it just came over me…

I just wanted to say that I really like the idea behind the mystery coins because it symbolizes the spirit of this special group. By the way I like the slogan carpe diem a lot so this is one of my favorites.

  11. I have read alot about mystery coins... How do people end up getting them? I heard that people get them in the mail. How does this work? how do they get your address?

I really love coins and stuff so this has really got my interest!

Some things in life are just a mystery! That's the beauty!
