  1. My partner and I had the samen problem this week with two different GPSr's at the same time in the Netherlands. Vista C and 60CS, both equiped with an electronic compass. Since a month or we also notice that we have a much better WAAS(EGNOS voor Europe)signal, with an accuracy <3 meter. Are the some experiments going on above us?
  2. I have a Vista C and my partner a 60CS. I haven't noticed difference in quality, only the amount of memory. My vista is my favourite because of the size and the toggle-stick.
  3. We're on Geocaching forum here. How can you point out a cache with an traditional compass? If you have a electronic compass, you have a realiable reading to the cache on your compass, even when you stop walking. Thats why I love it. For all other purposes a traditional compass is preferable. No batteries needed.
  4. I'm glad to read so many experiances with the same problem. I always used my vista hiking. Not so long ago I used for the first time in my car, but I had not a fitting mount. Is was shaking and bumping. Suddenly the Vista was swtched off. That was the only time.
  5. Since I visited this forum since af few days (I'm a regular on the dutch forum) I 'm wandering why the Magellans Explorists are so popular in your country. In the dutch geocaching-society Garmin dominates, in particular with the 60 CS. I'm a Vista owner now, after a Sportrak-pro, and I'm glad I switched to Garmin. In my view there are two main advantages voor Garmin. Better screens, and superior software. For Geocaching, you have enough memory capacity, and also for biking or hiking.
