  1. Hi, I am new to GSAK, and I haven't registered, still evaluating. I mostly do multicaches and I have a request, or maybe something that is possible, I just don't know how. I would like to be able to put in all of the legs, since I have a knack for finding multicaches that I can't finish in 1 day, but even if I did I would want this. Basically, not having to filter, and not caring what name I give it, be able to put in all of the legs, with the coordinates. Maybe a +- that you can click to expand a multicache that will show all of the legs as separate entities underneath the main cache. Obviously this wouldn't come from gc.com this way, but being able to add to it would be great. Then I can enter notes and what not. The idea came from a cache that you actually have to decipher 4 different languages, most of which I do not know, one at each waypoint to get the coordinates to the next leg. The problem I have with the system as I view it now, is that if I enter all of them as separate entities completely, when I finish a leg if I check found, it enters the count as found, where in reality it is part of one that I haven't finished yet. Anyway, it would help because if I didn't finish a cache when traveling, and I plan on going back in a few weeks, I would want to keep it loaded, but it would be nice to have a completed box to know exactly where I left off. Other than that, only had it a couple days, and haven't even begun to play with all of the features yet. Very nice product, if I intend to continue using it, I will surely register because of the time it has to have taken to build it. Nice work there --SmashSE
  2. I had the embarassing experience of trying to go "straight" to a cache and got stuck in a boggy marsh. I can attest that sometimes not heading straight for it gets you there quicker than trying to think you can make it. once I got to the other side, I found I would have needed a machete to make it. Had to turn back, and being covered in mud up past my knees I had to call it for the day. Going around on my next attempt at it, was rather easy. <--- can't wait until it freezes over and I can go straight --SmashSE
  3. There is nothing better than getting so frustrated you are on the verge of giving up and selling your GPS on ebay, then you give it that one more college try and sitting right under your nose, or hand as it may be, the clue to the next spot is, and had been there the whole time. As you swear you looked right at it 5 times and never saw it. It is a secret society that gives you a feeling of being "in" without having a verizon cell phone The ability to go out and get into nature with a goal, as so many have said. The feeling of accomplishment as you sign your name in the log book. I have only found one, but immediately started going for harder caches, and am working on 3 multistage currently. Still a little slow as it takes me a couple outtings to find each stage, but its something I would rather do than sit at home. I definitely think this sport holds more allure to geeks than not, but I could be wrong there. I agree with others, that it isn't the container that does it for me, opening it there is the kid rush of treasure, but in reality, I have enough junk at home, it gives me a reason to put it somewhere without throwing it out SmashSE Edit: Oh and no matter how many times I go looking for deer, I never see them, unless I am focused on geocaching, then I see them all the time
