  1. I hope I got in while there was still time. I only requested one in hopes others would get in behind me if I did get in on time. Love this!
  2. I might have one of those for ya. the list of coins you have for me is increasing. We forgot about that WSGA coin. Maybe I'll see you at an event in a couple of weeks, ferndale perhaps?
  3. I bought an extra 10-10-10 seattle coin in hopes of trading for a Seattle 999 coin since I wasn't caching at that point. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone is interested, please get in touch
  4. Well, guess we're a little late for the one above. We'll try for another instead edit: we drove up and did cul de sac. Didn't realize urban cache was time reliant, I'll have to get back up to the area soon and get that one! Thanks!
  5. We're in the area so we're on our way to that multi right now! Was on our list of caches to do today anyways. Grabbin' the oldies
  6. Guess not. Took my time and figured it'd be gone. #10 has been located
  7. I got myself a delorme on eBay for less than $200. The PN40 looks good, won't get as lost easy if you drop it at night and seems to work pretty well. I got it only last night. But after a demo from the guys at delorme during GW8 and from a couple other geocachers, I decided to get with them. Good luck!
  8. They are placed all over the NW, no worries
  9. Bingo. Anybody got any of 'em yet? a friend of mine got one a week or so ago while caching around Groundspeak HQ, I didn't ask much more about it though
  10. I'm interested in the rey del roble coin, but not sure what it looks like. Just might be nice for my washington coin collection Any chance you could take a photo for me? I googled and didn't come up with much
  11. with a traditional cache, you leave it behind. With these golden crows, you go there and if you find the crow, you take it with you and them bring it to geoboo. These crows are hidden in spots a regular cache might not ever get hidden. My tombstone last year was hanging in water by fishing line
  12. Looking forward to this. Had a ton of fun last year and was able to snag a tombstone, hoping my luck works out again this year
  13. Digging out Seattle version and I like that Hawaii one as well. Nice work everyone, wish I could get one of 'em all!
  14. Nice coin Mark! I think my begging will start NOW! Please bring an extra with you to the 10-10-10 event so I can give you more and more of my money! I don't care which version, but I got the money for it! See you soon! And just because I need more exclamation points, here is another one!
  15. there is also a travel bug exchange in south seattle, a fun cache by mcrt
  16. I just try to leave my caches stocked. I can't afford to leave things at all the caches I visit, but every time I'm at a thrift store or something, i grab a bag or two of toys and re-stock my caches. Try to set a good example for the cachers in the area, but none of them seem to get it...
  17. I dig them for sure. I have two that I'm "working" on getting published, will probably get them actually finished this winter sometime. I've got myself kind of burned out on the lamp post hides and all that lately, so I've really taken a liking to challenge caches and once I'm settled into our new home, I'll be going after those more often PS To answer the last two questions The prize kind of helps motivate me for sure, big or small, something of a payoff is nice. Though an amazing hide/view works just fine as well. Nothing like a challenge cache being really tough and the actual final is lame :/ The hardest one I've done would be the current 100 mile hiking challenge, which I haven't even finished yet, just lots of personal challenges have made it kinda tough, mainly because I'm an old man apparently.
  18. This is a good place to find friends. You can also try the WSGA board and the cowws board. If you're the outgoing type, hit up the 10-10-10 event (GC2DV0Y) avroair is doing and meet some people there, I'm sure it will be a packed event, arrive early to get a seat and I'm sure some people will end up sitting with you whether you like it or not. I'm in the Tacoma area, but my caching time is limited due to a new house and lots of chores, lol. I would be down for a tacoma or olympia caching run sometime and just hit what we come across. As for caches to hit, check out this list here as a place to start with some quality and fun caches; http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...94-32dbabb48d28 WSGA - http://www.wsgaonline.org/ COWWS - http://cowws.net/ and most of all, welcome to the area, it's an amazing place to live! -dustin
  19. worth putting trash in other peoples caches?
  20. This has been on my favorites list since I started caching a year ago. Wish it wasn't a weekday or I'd drive down in a heartbeat. Enjoy
  21. I'm a maybe at this point. New house has me going crazy... Here you go miss: http://coord.info/GCKQ5M
  22. Got my set+1 extra #2 in today. They are very cool, still feeling buyers remorse on ordering the entire set, but I don't feel as bad now that they're in hand and I may even get them framed or mounted in one way or another.
  23. yeah, I had some issues ordering the coins as well, but did get them all paid for eventually. Was just tough as I was sneaking around work with my phone, lol. Living in Washington, I figured I would have got these quicker, still waiting though
  24. Since you will most likely be heading to the seatac airport to leave the country, give REI a call and see if they have any in stock. I know they were carrying Groundspeak stuff for a bit and they may have a couple to put aside for you. Quick stop along I-5 on your way to the airport.
