  1. I like cemetery caches (as long as they are respectful), but then I have always enjoyed visiting cemeteries. They are very peaceful, beautiful places that hold much history. Geocaching has taken me to cemeteries that I may not have otherwise found or visited. Cemeteries are also a great place to view very old trees that show their typical growth form. I can respect someone who chooses to avoid these caches for personal reasons, but I really do enjoy the beauty of cemeteries and personally have no problem with caches placed in them.
  2. This works for me (Oregon 400t). Save the gpx file to a folder on the computer, then just drag and drop it into the Garmin/gpx folder in the Garmin's memory. The waypoint/cache should show up in the list on the Oregon.
  3. I know Rockin' Roddy lost his unit. Check for him here on the forums and maybe you can help another great cacher. The owner of the unit has been found and it is back home, safe and warm. Thanks.
  4. Hi there! New from LA (Lansing Area ). Just started geocaching. Made my first 2 finds today after work. I had fun and can see how geocaching can be addictive. I remember a friend mentioning geocaching several years ago, so it has always been in the back of my mind. This week I decided to finally buy a hand-held unit for hunting. Decided to look into geocaching as a way to learn how to use GPS. PS: At one of the sites that I visited today I found a lost GPS unit. It looked so sad and abandoned that I brought it home to try and find its owner. If you lost one today let me know.
  5. Hi! New to Geocaching and the forum. I am from Michigan. I finally bought a hand-held for hunting and thought this would be fun and a great way of getting to know how to use my GPS unit. By the way is there a lost and found section on the forum? I found a hand-held unit at a geocache in Grand Ledge today (8/27/2009) and would like to get it back to its owner.
