OK I think I can top all of the above, and not that I think it was that awesome-- but because I was the talk of the town for this signature item. I had very inexpensive coins made with the words "FTF OUR CACHE MUNIZWALLSCREW" stamped into them. In the middle it says "good luck" with a horse shoe and on the other side in the middle it says "good luck" with a 4 leaf clover. They were about $1 each and I found them on ebay. You can choose up to 36 letters and spaces to have him "type" them into the coin. I do know it was definately not as pricey as a GPSr or a bar of gold, but something really cool to have to remember your FTF. I am a trinket loving girl (along with my children) so I wanted the person who was the FTF of my cache to have a trinket. Let me know what you think, I have included a picture for you guys. And the website just incase anyone wants to have a signature item for there FTF's. The site is cachecoin.com and if you order from his ebay page, it says $2 or best offer. I offered him $1 per coin and ordered 10 and he went for it. I also am getting ready to set out my GOLDRUSH series with a small vial of 24ct gold flake for FTF. This too I found very inexpensive on ebay (I also included a picture of them too). First we must establish if you want actual emails sent to a internet enabled cell phone, or if you are looking for SMS text messages. The emails to your phone has been around much longer, and is actually much easier to set up. Text messages are a new feature, but you can still get 'er done. I am easy, which ever will be quicker-- as long as it gets me in the game. I have a pretty simple phone, no expensive iPhone or anything, and I want to make sure it send me the coords too, so if i am out and about I can just enter them in and go. Thanks for a quick reply. Hello all you fellow geocachers! The cachers in my area have 1 up on me. They get text notification to their phone of new caches, but most say someone set it up for them. I want to set it up on my phone, so I can be in the FTF race, lol! Can someone please explain it or give me a website to go to, something. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this to me. I would just hate to buy one to track and have a THEIF get their hands on it. I am new to caching, 6 under my belt so far. My children love it and it is an awesome way to teach geography, science, map skills, ect with out using a book (they get enough of that in school). It's also a great way to spend family time. And seeing as though I am new to Geocaching, I was wondering what the point of these coins are. I mean I know they are to be tracked, I have just heard people talking about a collection. Are you to keep ones you find or move them to other caches like TB's?
