  2. I've some Universe Pirates coins to trade or sale, there are a few of each finish (Antique Silver, Antique Gold)
  3. The official name, in geocaching database, is 'Sheridan County, Kansas'
  4. The one I have is Green and Yellow Cache, Sheridan Co., Kansas
  5. I have one of the North Dakota coins, so I'd like also have this one, if available after the event. Thanks
  6. Got mine! ...LE but without coin Thanks to Chris Mackey for this wonderful initiative!!!
  7. Were minted only 60 coins of AG finish, and 30 of AS, still there are a few of each
  8. I have no words to express what I felt when I saw the two envelopes in my mailbox and that they were from SCAVOK. Before opening them I knew its contents: the coins that not were sent months ago, ...unfortunately we now know why. These coins are now much more than beautiful coins. RIP Roger Kovacs
  9. After the event, Sirius version is now available. Price is $12 each coin (plus $4 for shipping one or two coins). The icon will come a bit later, ...this year for sure Let me know, through my profile, how many of each you like (AG and/or AS), and your paypal email please.
  10. At the end of time the gods will return, then those of pure heart will be saved.
  11. Life sometimes surprises us with terrible news, irreparable losses. I've only known him through the forum and through his designs. My sincere condolences.
  12. Of course, one must be responsible of their own coins.
  13. I don't see how this can possibly be implemented. How can Groundspeak know who the coin owner is? All they record is the vendor who bought the code and the coin series it is applied to. Something like the philosophy of digital or electronic signature. A public key and a private key. In our case, the public key can be the tracking number, which anyone can see in the coin, while the private key can only have it the owner, and may serve to prove ownership, and to activate the geocoin, ...as the activation code. For clarifying the idea: The difference is that the activation code is delivered only once, when you purchase the track/coin, instead through geocaching. This can be a way to ensure that nobody can retrieve the code, ie retrieve codes will not be available.

  15. Unfortunately it's clear that every time we need more rules to anticipate all possible errors. Each day, there are more and more players, so the proportion will grow. I don't think it's difficult to implement a procedure to ensure that the owner of the coin is the only one who can activate it. BTW, I don't like the generic activation code, ie the same activation code for all the coins minted. So far any of my coins lost their identity, and I want to stay that way.
  16. Well, after the period for voting, the result is: 1 vote for GoldBugGirl 1 vote for boiler-todd 1 vote for GATOULIS So the best solution is to do what must be done, ie according to the rules, I have to break the tie. In my opinion, although I like the stories chosen, I opted for #23 because is more detailed about the skulls. Congratulations!! GATOULIS, give me an address via my profile to send your coin Thank you all for your stories!
  17. Agree with GATOULIS, this is only for fun and share with others. Ok, the rules are not perfects, but still there are rules. Anyway, cause this will be my last cointest for a time, sure I'll find a good solution.
  18. Well, as stated in post #33, the only ones that can vote are the involved in the cointest: jpbarr (I forgot to mention, sorry) boiler-todd GATOULIS GoldBugGirl Dogfort So, all the rest of the votes are not valids. Respect the rules please.
  19. Vote for oneself is not valid
  20. A beautiful coin that glows in the night!
  21. The coin for my event have arrived! More quickly than expected I like how they turned out, althought some details could be improved, but well, maybe I'm too exigent As usual my pics don't make them justice. So the cointest is over! Thank you very much to all of you, I enjoyed reading your writings. Now is time to choose the winner. According to the bases, the ones that can vote are: boiler-todd GATOULIS GoldBugGirl Dogfort Just say the number of post chosen. Voting ends the next Sunday at 12:00 PDT, or when everyone has voted. Good Luck!
