  1. Started snowing in sunny North Wiltshire at about 5.30pm. It has now stopped, but is about 1 inch deep all the same.
  2. Well done Dave, for hitting the 400 mark. I guess that Birdlip Walk is better place than any! Vivien and Gary

  6. Seaton Seafront Seaton doesn't have tree's. plus I saw that picture 2 years ago....Are you telling porky's?
  7. What! I don't believe it. It hardly ever snowed in the 7 years I lived there. I remember I used to think it was the epicentre of no weather - it could snow on the downs, snow in the costwolds and snow in Oxford but nothing in Swindon. Bet it hasn't settled! Guess what! The snow has settled and by the looks of it, we are about to get a bit more! Like you say, it never snows in Swindon. However, 22 years ago it did snow big time. Wootton Bassett was cut off for 3 days, yet there was not a snow flake in sight in Swindon 3 miles away. The snow was here for 3 weeks in total. Please don't ask me to dig the photo's out, I really don't know where they are!
  8. It always looks lovely when you are out of the fog and mist!
  9. It seems not many actually cache! They just come to Groundspeak to post instead. Just as I thought!
  10. Should live in a decent part of the country then, we have them all, well nearly all! Supermarkets that is!
  11. Ahhhhh! and I thought Rome about 200BC Bet Da Rubber Chicken can't pronounce Leominster correctly or even "Here ford shire" I wonder who invents these place names? Hairy ford shire? Leo minster or should that be lem minster? What is that all about?
  12. I am from the nut house! or thats where some people around here think I come from! Actually, I was born and worked in the City (London for those who may not know how to open a map!), untill I moved to Leicester for 3 months and then to Swindon area 28 years ago! Gary was born in Aldershot then lived in Cyprus, Devon and then Swindon and surrounding area's. Now we are retired I would love to move to outer space, and as far away from moaning old farts as possible! Somewhere like.... Oh! I don't know, but it must be warm!

  15. My reply to your comments about disabilites are as follows. Yes! I have several disabilites. One being I am riddled with Arthritis, the other is I have 2 prolapsed disks in my kneck and also one in my lower spine. To top it, I also have walking problems. I can supply medical reports from hospitals to confirm these if you wish. So Yes! I do have problems! But I try to have FUN all the same
  16. I give everyone respect that admits to thier mistakes! However, I see it also from a very business minded view. It takes courage to approach people and actually ask them if they are interested in doing something etc. I know of people spending megga bucks out and going to Managment training etc... I know some think his action were a little unethical, but in the end, he was not going to receive any financial reward and it showed that he used his head to try to encourage people into being involved in something at no cost! So I am sorry but I think he needs a pat on the back for trying as well as respect!
  17. Oi. Mind my cache! While we are on the sunject of minding caches...... How the hell am I suppose to get the westlings coordinates when I never see one? Ah? Emm? Well? I would love to get a womble back pack for the little baby I am helping in the USA. Mum and Dad lost everything in the Hurrican, the media was focusing on the edge of it and all the devistation, but the eye went straight through Bay St Louis. Here there was TOTAL destruction, and I mean everything! They lost there job, home, car, pocessions, pets the lot! They left with just the clothes on thier backs! Thier little girl is now only 5 months old and am trying to put small parcels out to the family for Christmas, I was hoping for a womble back pack, but its like a needle in a hay stack! (This really isn't a sympathy note, I want to get one fairly!) so when and where can I get the last coordinates from in Wiltshire? Vivien Roving Rangies
  18. The closest I have been able to drive to a cache is at Windmill Hill near Avebury in Wiltshire. Infact its that close to the car, if you open your door to get out, you may tread on it! Windmill hill cache
