  1. Our team, The Urban Legends, has a spot for one or possibly two more, depending on some pending email. If you would like this spot, please email me through my geocaching account. Thanks! - FilmFans
  2. I am 95% sure I can make this date, and I would very much like to join a team. - FilmFans
  3. I just had to find this thread to get the same answer. I'm sure I'm not alone. Somebody should add this to the travel bug and/or geocoin FAQ
  4. Hey everyone. Me and the family will be in San Diego next week, visiting from Bellevue, WA. Most of our trip will be the usual touristy stuff, but we'll also do a little caching. Could some of you be kind enough to post some recommended caches for us? I'm hoping for recommendations for caches that are at least one of the following: 1. Particularly interesting to 4- and 5- year old children. 2. Take us to a scenic or interesting spot not usually found by casual tourists. 3. Provide good wildlife viewing. 4. Have a round-trip walk of definitely no more than a mile, preferably a little less, given our overall time constraints. Feel free to Markwell me if appropriate. I tried to search for this but could not find a way to search for specific posts in the San Diego thread. Thanks for your time.
  5. Here's one thought from a relatively new cacher: if you're already considering archiving a cache, it might be a good idea to do so IF you live in a cache-rich area, AND it's been out there for a while, AND it's not a particularly clever hide or the culmination of a good puzzle. I have no hides yet, but am working on a couple of puzzle caches that I hope to place in the next few weeks. Around here a couple of veterans archived a couple of their longtime caches this year, and whatever their reason, I am very grateful to have a couple more (nearby, maintainable for me) possible spots for my cache to land. Pretty much every city park around here has one or more caches already.
  6. On a recent cache hunt we were unable to find the cache-- got back home and checked the computer only to find it had been archived a month prior. I never know when and where I'll have time to cache, so I always have a lot of cache pages printed out and in the caching bag, ready to go. I checked the pocket query capabilities and discovered there is no option to search for caches archived in the near past. Anybody have any suggestions for how I can be automatically notified of caches in my area as they are archived? (And no, going paperless is not an option I'm looking at right now. Thanks anyway.) Thanks for the help - FilmFans
