Is it out of forum to say there was also a quick mention of geocaching in this months backpacker magazine? I dont have it anymore but it was in the question and answere section. The question was what is the deal with geocaching and the answere could have been a little nicer I thought.

Moun10Bike was asking for the geocoin that he traded cav scout for back not for the one's he found at caches. Cav Scout had supposedly given that one away so Moun10Bike offered to let Cav Scout substitute one of the one's he found for the one he was given. And then Cav Scout could get his items back since he thought he'd gotten the worse deal. Moun10Bike was just trying to make things right. Yes I gatherd all that from the two pages of banter, I have no intention of making anyone upset or butting heads with anyone in these forums, all I was saying was if you put it in a cache you are giving up the ownership to it. I guess you can ask for anything back you want, but I would not hold my breath, and I dont think Cav Scout thought he got a bad deal or if he did he was okay with it, because he to went through with the trade. But again this forum is way of topic so I appolgize, and I to will stop.

This forum and the topic have spun out of control but I feel the need to comment on this, the rightful owner of the coin or any thing left in a cache is the person who finds it, if you dont want someone you may or may not like to have your items dont place them in caches it's that simple. How may travel bugs or coins are no longer in circulation due to people keeping them? You may or may not agree with cav scout, but the bottem line is if Moun10bike felt like he was getting a bad trade at the gig harbor cache machine why do it? and if I leave a coin, gift card or anything for that matter in a cache I have no right to ask for it back. But thats just my .02

Just got home from work and guess what was waiting for me.......Thats right, my CAV SCOUT COINS I'm Lucky to have friend like Roy. These are by far the BEST looking Coins in my collection. Thanks for the coins buddy.

Good Point, but I think I would rather open the cache and see nothing than another plastic unicorn, or McToy, all though there both "extreamly" useful (say this last part in very sarcastic voice) I have two kids and dont need another plastic unicorn or mctoy, in fact my 7 year old is already burnt out on caching because of this and now is just content to go hiking. I really only now look for coins or sig items, and always leave a coin or sig item if I take one.

That is hands down the best link, it took me a while to figure the paperless thing out, but now its the only way to go. I do everything the same as the link kit fox posted, but I use gpx sonar I like it a little better.

You sure you cant bend on the hotel, my cache partner cant make it this weekend and I already booked the room. It's got two queen beds If not we could carpool and I could just drop you off somewhere and pick up in the morning

I did that and the only number it gave me was a number composed on 3 letters and 3 numbers (TBF775) when I enter it it says no match next to the area where you enter the numbers. I cant for the life of me figure this out.

Yesterday I picked up two bugs from the same cache, I click on the travel bug, click on the found it/log it icon, select retived it from mohawk falls and mine, enter the travelbug number, post my comment, select log and it says not match next to the TB # Can someone please help me. It does this for both the TB and the USA GeoCoin. Thank you

????? But they posses the smarts and means to hijack commercial airliners and fly them into the tallest buildings in the United States. Believe me when I tell you that these terrorist not only have but know how to USE this equipment. I just recently returned from an Eight month stay in Afghanistan, and they not only posses but know how to use mortars and other fun things that fly long distances and make loud explosions and big holes when they land. As for the original issue, I’m on the fence on this one, yes with posted coordinates they would have a target, but on the other side like others have said it’s no secret we are there. Just my 2 cents.

Can anyone help me, my computer had a major crash and I had to re-install everything, well I cant find the cd that came with my 60c I downloaded the driver from the Garmin web page, but for some reason my computer still wont recoginze the new hardware, so I'm assuming I need that software, but I dont see myself finiding it any time soon, can anyone tell me what to do? Thanks

Just Call Garmin, I had a problem with my 60c and they FedEx me a brand new one, so I'm sure they would send you a new part.
