  1. it will be a shame that the southern most section of the river Lee series will be out of commission for the duration of the games. Like Dorsetgal, I will not be setting up any challenges. Although I can understand Groundspeaks decision regarding the security concerns around certain venues I think the measures go too far as half of the London caches are likely to be disabled being within 1mile of an olympic route. Members of the public will still be allowed to walk where these caches are placed.
  2. We have moved away from the area and have found it difficult to maintain the series. It has been very popular and one of the largest in London so would be a shame to have to archive it. If anyone would like to adopt all or part of the series (south of Tottenham Lock) contact me through our profile. Regards. Chris
  3. I take Mrs P-Smiffy with me when I cache as her memory is better than mine. She tends to make notes on any scrap of paper we find just before leaving the house. We dont particulary like leaving just 'TFTC' as we dont tend to like recieving just that on our caches. Her logs are generally funny and realistic! Although we have an Oregon 400t we find this is the easiest and quickest method.
  4. Me and Mummy P Smiffy started the Chiltern 100 last Sunday. We started with the Chartridge ring as it was the smallest and we only had limited time. We completed it in just under 4 hours. It was incredibly muddy and windy. I think it would spoil it if you rushed around this part of the world and not take in the beautiful scenery. When we get a chance to off load Baby P Smiffy we will continue with another leg of the 100's
